April 7, 200719 yr We are getting new landscaping and a new patio in the next few weeks and have been looking at lighting for the outside. (spotlights, patio lights, etc.) It seems that for brightness that hardwired electric is the way to go. But, I like the ease of the solar lights. However, they always seem very dull. Is there something I should be looking for in solar lights to get the brightest possible light? Is there a wattage or something I need to look for to get the brightest ones? Any help, would be, well, helpful.

One thing you have to do though, is wipe down the solar panel on the lights every once in a while. If they get too dirty, the panel won't get enough light.
