Anyone have Dish Network?

Featured Replies

I searched the site (via Google) and could not find a previous thread on this, but there may be one.

Anyone out there have Dish Network for satellite TV in Chicago? I am considering going with them, but I want to make sure I'll be able to see the games. Will I be able to see CSN, CSN+ and WCIU?

Thanks!

I don't live in Chicago, but I do get all the stations except CLTV. I don't have any problem watching all the Sox games.

Same here. Living out in Iowa, I get CSN Chicago, and get all of the games. The only ones I do not get are on WCIU (which I would not have a problem with if I lived in Chicago). I had to go with 120 channel package to get it though. IIRC, the 60 channel package does not have it.

I have DirecTv and get to see all the Sox games. I would recommend DirecTv as I have never had any problems and their customer service has been very good to me. Plus they are getting a boatload of additional HD channels later this year.

I'm seriously thinking of switching from Dish to D-TV. BS, have you had both, or just a good experience with D-TV?

I have Dish and I get all the channels. I used to have Direct but switched due to Dish having a better HD package last year. Side by side I prefer Dish to Direct, but the differences are so minimal. The main selling factors for me are the MonstersHD (which isn't as fun as it was at first, a man can only deal with a certain number of Full Moon flicks), Kung Fu HD, and the Treasure Channel (which has two of my favorite shows on it: Collectors Showdown and Collective Intelligence). Otherwise it's about the same.

I did not have Dish Network. Just commenting on DirecTv which I've had for about 7 years.
