2003 Draftees

Featured Replies

About a week ago someone reported that our 10th rounder, Dizard, a left from USC, had signed, but BA doesn't have him included yet. Anybody got any inside dope on Dizard or anyone else for that matter who is still unsigned. Esp Sweeney.

Also, right before the draft, we signed two draft and follows from 2002, but I lost track of their names. Can anybody help? Tks.

Jim, Boone Logan was one, a left handed pitcher who was in junior college last season. He's pitching for Great Falls.

One way to check on the transactions is to go to the Sox main site, click on minor leagues, click on Great Falls, then transactions. You'll see the guys who've signed new contracts, then cross check with the Sox overall draft list, which you can find at Baseball America.

We signed #10 and #19, neither show up under BA yet.

Draft and Follows, we signed 3. Here they are. All 3 starting well, especially watch the hard thrower Hernandez.

CHICAGO (AL)

Boone Logan, lhp, Temple (Texas) JC (20)

Jay Marshall, lhp, Jefferson (Mo.) JC (25)

Fernando Hernandez, rhp, Broward County (Fla.) CC (49)

Dizard did sign, according to USA Today. They also said Mike Moat signed, and it took BA several days to put this up.
