I have read a lot of different opinions, so I thought it would nice to see the overall view.

 

Personally, I like it.

With all the quality relievers we have in the system, this was a good gamble. If nothing else, it does improve our up the middle defense. And if Alomar continues to hit just .260, that's more than we've been getting from 2nd base for the past 6 weeks.

Anybody is better than that dog Jimenez defensively, and there is a good chance that Alomar's bat will find its way too.

Yasny......my feelings exactly... we've got nothing to lose with Robbie. We arnt paying for him and what we gave up....were pieces that were expendable because of the depth at the reliever position.

 

Will Robbie Go .330 25 100? No.. but his defense experience are both qualities that this team lacked and now have gained with his presence on the team.

 

Rick or Kenny....whoever made this trade... not bad.

i love this trade.. it didnt cost us much... it gives us a gold glover defense at 2nd.. and a good bat to boot.... maybe run robbie as leadoff???? the best thing is it takes jimenez's lazy ass off the field for a while..... i cant see how this doesnt help us all the way around..........

I wouldn't mind seeing Alomar leading off, he stole 30 bases in '01...so it's not like the speed isn't there

I think that Jiminez might get the demotion....unfortunately for this guy.

harris can still be used in cf....jimenez however ... well.... where ya gonna put him???? i cant think of a place that suites a lazy ass........besides the bench......
