The rarity came in the White Sox 13-5 win at Boston which saw the South siders score 11 runs in the ninth inning to win. Pinch-hitting for Gail Hopkins, Aparicio delivered a two-run double, which gave the Sox the lead for good. Later in the frame, Aparicio came up again, still a pinch-hitter, and delivered a run-scoring single.
