Koch sucks

Featured Replies

We just lost an easy win to the DRays and a game to Minny and KC because this idiot. Just get him out now just so he wont ever pitch for us again. We went from the high point of the season to the low point in two days. Well be much better off without Koch. Ugh, losing to TB is embarassing. We better win the next two...

roman.. now tell us something we already dont know........

Yesterday's loss certainly was not the low point of the season IMO. Yes, it sucked, but for my money, the game he blew vs. KC (the night the ump got hugged by the fan) and getting swept by Minnesota far exceed Friday's loss. They were worse mainly because they are division rivals.

In some weird way, Friday's loss could turn out to be good for the Sox. I have no clue as to what their mindset was coming into the game. I also don't know what they were feeling -- in terms of where they are as far as performance as a team. Personally, I'd say they were at about 70% coming into the game. Maybe they were thinking "wow, we've got it all figured out". If they felt that way, they sure as hell don't anymore, and hopefully it will piss them off and make them work even harder than they have been working over the past month.

In the long run, Friday could prove to be a valuable lesson. Either way, we're going to learn A LOT about this squad over the next week and a half.

Yesterday loss could mean to our manager and GM that we need another closer. Imagine if what happened yesterday happens in late september in a series agst tthe Royals or Twins???

The idea is to have everything gelling by the time "late in the season" rolls around. And that's another bright spot in this sea of misery -- while losing to TB sucks gonads, I'd rather have what happened yesterday happen @ TB as opposed to @ MIN or @ KC.

Of course if you keep losing TB type games now then the games in Sept. will be meaningless.

Come to think of it, when was the last time we played a meaningful game in September? '93?
