March 31, 200818 yr Who else is taking off work/school next Monday to to go the Sox home opener? I haven't driven to an Opener since 2001, when I wasn't able to find parking in the lots and didn't get into the game until the 4th inning. However, i would like to drive this year to tailgate with the group I'm going with. How early would you suggest I should get to the park in order to get a spot in a tailgating lot? I'm thinking about playing it safe and trying to get there for 11am, because I'm not sure how many people plan on arriving early enough to take advantage of tailgating. With brings up the next question... Will the park be opening 3 hours prior to game time again this year like they did last year? I know that according to the Sox official site it says two hours ( tailgating link ), however, does anyone know if the extra hour will be added again? I'd like to take full advantage of the time allowed. Thanks in advance.
