Cotts to start Vs the Indians?

I was reading the daily herald and stumbled across this and now I wonder if the Sox would truly considering letting him go if they needed him

Mound mystery: The White Sox play a doubleheader at Cleveland on Saturday, and manager Jerry Manuel knows Mark Buehrle is going to take the mound in Game 1.

But the Sox are going to wait and see what happens over the next three games before naming a starting pitcher for Game 2.

If the bullpen is fresh, long reliever Gary Glover is likely to get the nod. If not, the White Sox are expected to call on a minor-league pitcher to make the start.

Even though he's scheduled to pitch in Sunday's All-Star Futures Game at U.S. Cellular Field, left-hander Neal Cotts is a strong possibility. Cotts is 8-3 with a 1.97 ERA in 15 starts at Class AA Birmingham this season.

well to kinda back that up heres a little clip from the mlb boards i was reading on the overhaul of the team..... interesting......very interesting......

Setting the rotation: Danny Wright gets the start Friday in the opener of a four-game series against Cleveland at Jacobs Field. Mark Buehrle pitches Game 1 in Saturday’s doubleheader, and the way Wright pitches Friday could dictate who will start the nightcap. That game is the make-up for a May 31 rainout in Cleveland.

White Sox manager Jerry Manuel mentioned that a minor league callup could be a possibility. But it’s more likely to be a start by committee from the bullpen, with Gary Glover and Rick White becoming prime candidates for work.

“None of them are stretched out enough,” said Manuel when asked who would get the call from his bullpen. “They would probably go two or three innings apiece, something like 45 pitches.

“The next day would be the last day before the (All-Star) break. So, we can bring back the starters who pitched earlier and get it done that way.”

Manuel doesn’t have a specific win total set for his team in the final seven games before the break. Instead, he’s focused on the team’s two key factors -- getting the offense and bullpen straightened out -- as an indicator for second-half success.

“With the way we have hit the last 15 or 20 games, the offense is getting close,” said Manuel, whose crew has 17 home runs in the last six games and is averaging 5.7 runs over their last 15. “We are still a little hesitant to say the bullpen is on a roll right now.

“If we get those two things set, then I think we are ready to go,” Manuel added.
