August 30, 200817 yr No one mentioned it in the game thread, but in the bottom of the first DJ went on and on about what he said was the fans booing the third base coach for holding Ellsbury. If you've seen one at bat this year of Youklis, and had half a brain, you'd know they weren't booing, they were saying Yoooook. OK, not a great big deal, but shouldn't he be just a little more alert than that?
August 30, 200817 yr I noticed this too. They sure as hell weren't booing the fact that if a guy had been waved, he would have been out at home by 20 feet. It was obvious it was YOUK. It was indeed ridiculous because he didn't stop, and Hawk didn't catch it either.
August 30, 200817 yr Farmer and Stoney totally said the same thing, they said they were surpised they didn't send Ellsbury, and that the fans agreed by booing, til they suddenly realized Youkilis was up and kind of just stopped talking about it...
