MINNEAPOLIS -- On the heels of the opening of their new ballpark in 2010, the Minnesota Twins are making a bid for the Major League All-Star Game in 2014.

 

The club announced its intent to present its case for hosting the All-Star Game on Wednesday on the roof of the Target Center, which overlooks construction of the new ballpark.

    If they don't get it in 2014 for some reason I imagine they'll get it somewhere around then. MLB rewards teams/cities for building new stadiums with the all star game
