SoxComms Posted October 31, 2008 Share Posted October 31, 2008 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, October 31, 2008 SOXFEST 2009 HOTEL PACKAGES ON SALE NOVEMBER 10 Hotel Reservations and Weekend Passes Available Together On White Sox Website this Year CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox have announced two-night hotel reservations at the Palmer House Hilton for SoxFest 2009, presented by U.S. Cellular, along with weekend passes to the event, will go on sale on Monday, November 10 at 10:00 a.m. CST on whitesox.com The special SoxFest hotel rate is $249 (plus tax and applicable charges) for a two-night stay. White Sox fans may purchase up to two rooms per reservation, and fans who purchase a two-night stay are eligible to purchase up to four SoxFest weekend passes at $75 each. New this year, SoxFest hotel packages and weekend passes can be purchased in the same online transaction at whitesox.com, making the process even simpler for fans. Weekend passes are only available for purchase by fans who book the two-night stay. SoxFest offers fans the opportunity to meet their favorite current and former White Sox players, attend question-and-answer sessions, participate in interactive baseball activities and visit the ever-popular annual Garage Sale. SoxFest 2009 will be held Friday, January 30, Saturday, January 31 and Sunday, February 1, 2009. Dates and times are: Friday, 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is the third year the historic Palmer House Hilton will host the annual Chicago White Sox fan convention, now in its 17th year. SoxFest Premium Packages, which include access to exclusive autograph and photo sessions and an MVP pass that allows quick entry to designated autograph sessions, among many other benefits, will be available again this year to fans who book a hotel room and purchase weekend passes. A limited number of SoxFest daily passes also will be available for purchase on whitesox.com. The White Sox will update fans on when the Premium Packages and daily passes go on sale.
