August 11, 200322 yr beginning tonight and during this 7 game trip? This team has come to play when facing a tough team and or pitcher, however it's been quite the opposite when they are facing a team and or pitcher they should beat. This team simply can't afford any more let downs against the teams it should beat. That starts tonight. True championship caliber teams bring their A game no matter who the competition. That is especially true as they get to the home stretch of their season. I must admit I still question the heart desire and character of this team. That comes mostly from many years of dissapointment following these guys. It's time for guys like Thomas and Ordonez to step up and lead. This division is there for the taking. It will go to whomever avoids any kind of prolonged slump right now. To be a champion you have to perform like one . The Sox have not done that in many a season. It's time for these guys to deliver.
August 11, 200322 yr Well, they do have the best record in basball since the All-Star break. They just beat the A's...They're doing fine. Please don't make it sound like they are struggling. If they stink up the west ciast, you can stuff like this, but at the moment, I think they are doing exactly what they are supposed to do: Winning each series. Forkit!
August 11, 200322 yr I agree, as well as they have been playing lately, I'd rather not even bring up their west coast troubles because I think they will continue to hit the ball like they have regardless where they are. As long as Carlos stays in the 2 hole that is! GO SOX!
