THIS DATE IN SOX HISTORY: FOX IN THE FOLD

1960: Nellie Fox agreed to his contract with the White Sox, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune. Fox, the reigning American League MVP, was reported to have agreed to a salary close to $50,000 in a phone conversation with White Sox vice-president Hank Greenberg.

wow, thats amazing! 50 grand. I think we figured it out that when Arod signed his contract, if he batted 4 times per game, he'd make about 44 grand per plate appearance, and yet Fox's annual salary AFTER WINING THE MVP YET, is just a little above what Arod makes per one at bat.. Mind blowing when you think about it.
