Must go to stadiums in the Grapefruit league?

Featured Replies

Well my job shifted my territory so I'll be covering the Lakeland-Tampa down to Ft Myers part of Florida, which is home to a lot of Grapefruit League stadiums. I'm thinking of going to a few games over during the next month but was wondering if there are any stadiums I should actually go out of my way to see?

Been to:

Ed Smith in Sarasota but that was in the late 80s, early 90s. I guess they've renovated it since.

Disney-Braves

Kissimmee-Astros

Winter Haven-Indians. Of course they dont play there

Lakeland-Tigers. played in the stadium, never watched a game there. Seems pretty nice?

Any suggestions?

The Red Sox opened a new complex in Ft Meyers a couple of years ago, and their stadium resembles Fenway.

Haven't been but if sounds pretty cool.

my dad plays in some 48 and over league and they had some tournament down there last fall. he played in that stadium and from the pictures, the green wall has a couple of rows of seats inside the monster with a netting in front. Looked really cool.
