Live Game Report - Kannapolis Intimidators

Featured Replies

We've got another writer "on tour" seeing some White Sox prospects live at the affiliates. This is our own content, covering prospects that in many cases you can't find other coverage on. Plus we add our own views on even the higher end ones.

This week it is one of our newer writers, Will Siskel, seeing Kannapolis and Winston-Salem. He saw Kanny last night, and got some really good stuff. The starting pitcher was the same guy I video'd earlier this month (Yency Almonte), but as it turns out we got to see pitching development in action - he was using a very different pitch mix and made some improvements based on coaching that you can see. There are also scouting reports on a handful of hitters in here, and some tidbits from scouts he was sitting with.

Here is the Kanny story - give it a read to get an idea about some prospects the White Sox have on the farm. Kanny isn't the most loaded team right now, but a few of these guys do have major league potential.

He'll be at W-S tonight, where there will be significantly more higher end prospects to watch (Adam Engel, Cleuluis Rondon, Trey Michalczewski, Jake Peter, etc.), and a starting pitcher who is starting to get a little helium (Robin Leyer).
