Leury is a good utility player who is not allowed to be a good utility player because the goofy manager plays him as if he’s an Allstar, and the front office thought that Josh Harrison was the answer to second base over the offseason.

I hate games like this where it looks like it is over early and you feel like tuning out.
Three run deficits frighten you? Sorry to hear. 🙄

Congrats to Stoney on 40 years in the booth!

Who thought this lineup would make Gausmann labor to the tune of 98 pitches through five innings!
-
Why does it take them so long to cut from the centerfield camera to the camera behind the plate when a ball is put in play!

These guys are really excelling under Tony
As of today, his so-called Hall of Fame experience is book-ended by bouts of questionable results during his career with the White Sox.

Unfortunately our Sox have looked terrible against both the Yankees and Red Sox at home this month.
We wore the collar of looking bad against good teams last year prior to the postseason.
We are looking even more futile in the early going this season.

TLR has to go if we are to come back this season. Bad decisions in practically every game.
That is NOT happening under the current owner. It only happens if LaRussa walks away from this himself, which seems unlikely.

i was told the Hall of Fame manager was supposed to clean all of this up
In Year TWO he was supposed to use his so-called Hall of Fame experience to clean this up, and here we are.

Vaughn's been great, but we are yet to see his supposed excellent plate discipline really show up in the major leagues
Steady him with a position and spot in the lineup and then let’s see what the young man can do.
Let’s not lose sight of the fact what’s been asked of him at the MLB level with so little minor league experience.

The lack of pitching depth in their entire system is a huge concern, especially when you consider how unlikely it is that they pay any of Giolito, Kopech, or Cease.
It’s going to be interesting to see who ends up making that decision: the current owner or the next owner.

What a beautiful sentiment
I hope we never see one again
Weg (if I may be presumptuous enough to refer to you as such!), who would you replace DK with in the rotation?
I root for Lopez, because I still believe in the ceiling with his stuff, but for this season, maybe VV is the way to go for now?
What say ye!

I often wonder where this team would be at if Mrs Wheeler would have been talked into Chicago?
We probably wouldn’t have seen a start by Dallas Keuchel tonight.

It’s truly amazing how some people refuse to ever blame Hahn.
There have been way too many failed acquisitions over the years not to blame Hahn. But I don’t want to lose sight of the fact of what this owner, who has operated on a losing model long before Hahn came along, has inflicted on him to make his job harder than it should be.

Every day is a reminder that it’s hard to be worse than Rick Hahn when acquiring veterans.
But if he’s pinched on budget by the owner, I don’t know, who’s to blame for acquiring the likes of Harrison this year, or Eaton last year, so on and so forth, when far better talent was available on the open market, but obviously more pricey.

Our 74 million dollar catcher, ladies and gentlemen.
The largest contract ever handed out by Jerry Reinsdorf.

The only positive thing he's done in 40 years is not completely screw up inheriting a team with Michael Jordan. But there are people saying he's been a great owner because his teams have won 7 titles. give me a break.
They are trying to conflate his so-called ownership of the two franchises.
Not one of those six Bulls championships has anything to do with the White Sox.
In the 40 of 41 years of ownership in years not named 2005, his team has won a COMBINED “5” postseason games across those four decades, with ZERO playoff series wins.
It is arguably one of the most ineffective ownerships of all time.

I love Engel as a 4th outfielder.

He’s not below average as a utility player given the number of positions that he can play and play well adequately defensively, and he has speed offensively.
He’s only overexposed when he’s forced to start as much as he has. Forget the injuries: he’s overexposed partly because this front office failed to solve the second base issue over the offseason, and now Leury starts far more than he should.
