  1. I think we've played pretty well against good teams this year. If only we played well against bad teams (Detroit, Cleveland, etc.).
  2. That's another half game behind us for them!
  3. 1) Who will win the series (CHW/OAK) (2 points)? CHW 2) Will Carlos Lee bat over .300 for the series (Y/N) (2 points)? Y 3) How many errors will the Sox make (4 points)? 3 4) How many earned runs will Esteban Loaiza give up (4 points)? 2 5) How many hits will the Sox get off Mark Mulder (5 points)? 6 6) How many pitches will Jon Garland throw (I'll give five either way) (5 points)? 95 7) Which Sox hitter will have the most walks (4 points)? Frank 8) Will Magglio Ordonez have a multi-hit game (Y/N) (2 points)? Y 9) Which team's starters will pitch more innings (CHW/OAK) (2 points)? OAK 10) Will Keith Foulke get a save (Y/N) (2 points)? N TIEBREAKER: Sox team batting average for the series .367
  4. Hello, they won, so just shut up with the Rick Whiteesque second guessing. Assuming Colon was fine (which i don't think he was), of course you second guess this If they blow it, it gets second guessed. So just cuz we win we throw a blindfold on to any bad moves in the game? That's the wrong perspective to have, i'm sorry Because one game, that same stuff will cost you. Then it's ok to talk about it? No, I understand the scutiny, but for christ sake's, it turned out he had a blister. It's things that I hear like "f*** You Jerry!" that piss me off. No one even knew the circumstances for him taking Colon out. I get frustrated by him too, but he knows more about baseball than anyone on this board, and if he thinks it's a good move, he's got more credibility than anybody on this board does.
  5. That's you're personal opinion, I'll respect it. But I also think I have a valid point because in the end, winning is all that matters.
  6. What part of what I said was contradictory. You look at more than winning or losing. I think there is nothing more than winning or losing. While an A.L. Championship is all well and good, it's not a World Series Championship, which is the ultimate symbol of winning. I say if these guys have to scrap out tough wins, so be it. A win is a win no matter how bad you play.
  7. Hello, they won, so just shut up with the Rick Whiteesque second guessing.
  8. Those are minor league stats though, not majopr league proven stats like Robbie's. I understand that we lost a prospect, but that's all he was, a prospect. I just think people around here talk about our minor league prospects as superstars, when all they really are is unproven talent.
  9. Then wasn't it too early to start the KW bashing regarding Ring when he traded an unproven minor league reliever for a Hall of Fame second baseman?
  10. Where are all the Royce Ring lovers out there who said this trade was stupid because they didn't want to give up Ring?
  11. A win is a win, and no there is nothing more to it than winning and losing. There is no trophy for second place. While an A. L. Championship is good, it really doesn't mean a whole hell of alot, it just means you were a good team.
  12. Agreed! Last night was one game. Stop being turncoats for once and just support this team instead of over critizing every tiny detail.
  13. I absolutely hate the Yankees. If you look at ESPN Insider Rumor Central, they are in play for every free agent. I sick of seeing them buy their teams. I could give two s***s about their glorious history. I hope Boston wins that division so bad, and they top it off by shoving a bat in Steinbrenner's ass sideways. Peace.
