Cubs-Mets (Better Team) NLCS
Cubs fans at work are all excited about this guy from the movies throwing out the first pitch. He will rally us! Get your rally caps on! Enough of this silly crap. Just play the dang game. And there is this again. Hey, Cubs fans: Last 0-3 comeback in LCS also had fake curse, Theo Epstein CBSSports.com

I like how Collins was aggressive on the bases last night. He should do it again today.

Cubs-Mets (Better Team) NLCS
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 02:36 PM) It really is comical. If they do get swept tonight, it will all switch to how the 2016 WS is basically already won. Refresh my memory. Why did the 2004 Red Sox come back? Wasn't the Yankee pitching staff garbage?

Cubs-Mets (Better Team) NLCS
This is the crap that is going around all day today. ROGERS: CUBS NEED 4 ONE-GAME WIN STREAKS The Cubs are in dangerous territory being down 3-0 to the Mets in the NLCS -- only one team in history has come back from that deficit. The man in charge of those '04 Red Sox? Theo Epstein, the man currently in charge of the Cubs With Epstein's Red Sox history on their side, Cubs are down 3-0, but not out

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 01:55 PM) How come the Cubs' bats have fizzed so much? Seems to me, their hitters are getting owned? Is it all because of the Mets flamethrowers? I've seen some nasty fastballs. It's the cold weather and the umps fault.

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 01:31 PM) Without looking it up, 4 game sweeps in the CS aren't too common. I could see them picking up 1 or 2 wins before this is over. Hopefully that's it, because coming back from an 0-3 deficit to win and advance is a nightmare I don't think the world is ready to experience. Well all day I've heard 2015 Cubs = 2004 Red Sox.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 11:44 AM) I still think Colon makes a ton of sense against the cubs and is in the first sign of trouble. I agree. Colon would gave the Cubs fits i think.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 11:37 AM) Second base next year. If you were Collins how would you pitch Matz tonight? No fastballs of course.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 11:30 AM) Yeah I'd be on the phone tomorrow trading Schwarber. Castro too, but they can't unload his contract. What do you do with Baez?

Cubs-Mets (Better Team) NLCS
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 09:26 AM) They definitely should be good. I just think people should be cautious with the "year ahead of schedule" confidence. The Nationals are prime example of how much can go wrong in baseball. The Cubs' hitters should be solid, but we will see how their pitching plays out. Even if they acquire top arms, that doesn't also work out as planned. Very true. This series still make me nervous even though they are down 3-0. I don't know why.

Cubs-Mets (Better Team) NLCS
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 09:17 AM) One of the most beautiful things about the MLB playoffs is you don't have to deal with ESPN anymore, and their blatant bias. There is always going to be Cubs bias until they win. I get that, even though the White Sox had a long time between titles, had a team that was never not in first place, and lost 1 postseason game total, and they were perceived as a team that should have been counting their lucky stars they were on the field vs. their opponents. If the Cubs ever win, I wonder how much it may actually hurt them from a lovable losers standpoint. The Red Sox hadn't won a title for a while when they finally broke through, but they had usually still had good teams, and plenty of playoff appearances. The Cubs have just basically sucked. If they ever win, will some of their charm actually go away? Ron Darling was on the score this morning saying Cub fans should be happy because their team will be good for the next 5-6 year window.
