  1. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) This is bad news for one of my fantasy teams. They're probably gonna hold Manning back until the playoffs. Dungy's kind of changed his tune. It sounds that they'll play for the most part, until they lose a game. No way does he sit Peyton Manning or Edgerrin James or Dwight Freeney for an entire game. The only exception might be holding a player out who’s nursing an injury.
  2. No dice. Indy betters their record to 13-0. The Colts beat the Jags 26-18, and are the AFC South Champs. Also, the Colts secured two goals of more importance. The Colts have locked up the #1 seed in the AFC, and they have attained home-field and the first round bye. Just a great day all around.
  3. QUOTE(3E8 @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 03:55 PM) YESSSSSSSSS. Only down 8 with all timeouts... No onside kick this time. 1:54 left, Indy ball on the 20.
  4. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) Dear God Indy is fun to watch. 17-3 Colts at the half. I wish we could have got that trick TD.
  5. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 11:55 AM) While I agree, I think there will be an adjustment period once White gets back as the teams learns to play together again. I am also really looking forward to Ben Allen getting more minutes. He's definitely a role player, but I think he'll be very good down the road, especially when his confidence to play inside grows. I like the potential I see with IU, but the road will not be without a few bumps along the way. I agree about Allen. He's been a very bright spot this year. I'd have no problem seeing him get more minutes. Allen and Killingsworth haven't been on the floor at the same time much, which I understand, because there's the potential of fouls. However, I wonder if we can ever see 3 big men on the floor at once when DJ's back. With Allen's shot, he'd have no problem playing as a small forward. That'd be fun to see, and I feel it could be successful.
  6. If you want to laugh, I highly suggest reading the first couple pages of this thread.
  7. I just thought about something else. It's funny Artest complains that Carlisle's system is too regimined for him. However, he wants to go play for Larry Brown? I guess this is the thanks the Pacers get for sticking with him through all the BS last year.
  8. Like YAS said, maybe something will happen over the course of these three or four months, but I'd be very surprised to not see Buehrle on the bump on that Sunday night in April.
  9. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 08:50 AM) Also, once IU gets DJ White back, I think they are going to be a top 10 team, without a doubt. I've seen them enough now, especially if Ratliff plays well. Hell the thought of a double post of White/Killingsworth plus Vaden, Strickland and Ratliff is damn scary to me. P.S. Hey greasy, you were right, Killingsworth is the best big man in the Big 10. Although I still think Paul Davis is going to hold his own when they match up. It's going to be absolutely huge when this team gets DJ back. Vaden's been having to play the 4 a majority of the time, since DJ's been out. He's held his own, but he's much more suited for the SF. This is just going to make Vaden look better, and we're going to have a lot more options on offense. Killingsworth-Davis will definitely be a fun matchup. IU and MSU get to do the home and home this year, so we'll really see what they're made of.
  10. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 04:10 AM) Larry Bird and Donnie Walsh would be laughing pretty hard at that offer I'd imagine. ^^^ Seriously. Isiah Thomas does not work for the Pacers.
  11. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 01:13 AM) So I heard this Aussie Guy from Melbourne is playing well for the Hoosiers, Ben Allen I think his name is. He's been really solid, and he's got such a sweet shot. He only had limited play today, but on the season he's 11/15 from three point land and shooting 66% from the field. The two previous games before UK his lines were: 21 points (5/6 from three) and 7 boards 15 points (2/3 from three) and 5 boards
  12. I forgot about that rumor, but yeah, that's definitely been a rumor of the past couple years. I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen, and I'd be pretty pleased with that.
  13. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 12:58 AM) They will, just as they'll be rewarded for losing to Indiana St. My point was that you can't right off someone's analysis because they aren't an IU fan. If that were the case, we could write off everything you say about IU because you are an IU fan. I'm saying he was correct in saying Kentucky isn't that great of a team, not that they shouldn't be credited for beating them. I took what he said as saying that Indiana shouldn't be credited for beating them, because of them not being great. So basically this argument was about nothing, if you're saying the exact same thing I intended. And yeah Heads, they are pretty ugly. They're filling that new arena up.
  14. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Dec 11, 2005 -> 12:50 AM) Regardless, Kentucky is not that good of a team. Never said they were. Voters in the coaches and AP polls both put them at 15 though, and Indiana should be rewarded as if they beat a #15 team.
  15. He probably won't be here much longer, and he shouldn't be, if he's going to start this stuff up. But the Pacers will do this right and won't come out of this any worse; therefore, there's really no possible way for him to end up in NY. The Knicks have nobody.
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 09:55 PM) I sure hope the voters don't reward Indiana by moving them up a few spots. Sure they killed Kentucky today, but Kentucky really isn't very good (amazing i'm saying that) and you just cannot lose to Indiana State. And Illinois.....Bruce is just something else. Unreal they are 10-0. You also said you hate Indiana on Tuesday, so of course that's a quality analysis right there. I know I'm am IU fan, but I'm not saying Aboz is right. I'm predicting IU doesn't move in the rankings. The two games this week cancel each other out.

  20. I know rankings don't matter much, at least at this point in the season; however, I have an interest in them. I wonder where IU will be on Monday in the rankings. The Indiana State loss was ugly and inexcusable, but we beat #15 UK pretty handedly. They're #18 in the AP, and #16 in the coaches.
  21. Also..another very good sign today was DJ White was not in street clothes today. He's expected back for the game on the 23rd against Butler. And it's pushing it, but there's a possibility he could be back for the game on the 19th.
  22. Excellent game for the Hoosiers today. 79-53 over UK. Everything was on today. They played their best defense, after not playing any against Indiana State. Killingsworth dropped in 23 and 11 boards. He did a good job getting rid of the ball when he was double-teamed too. Ratliff looked like Mr. Basketball again, after being a little timid with his broken thumb on his shooting hand; he has 21. I don't know what kind of 3 game Kentucky thinks they have, but they were 2 of 27 today. Great way to go into this little hiatus. We don't play again, until the 19th against Charlotte.
  23. QUOTE(SnB @ Dec 10, 2005 -> 02:55 PM) doesn't everyone just love J.J. Redick? Greatest poet ever.
