so far the talk of the sox offseason has dealt with the lack of money in which kenny has to work with. despite being in a large market the answer everyone gives as to why the sox are so cheap is because of the lack of attendance. im not sure about specific numbers, but im pretty sure that the attendance averages at the cell have gone up over the last couple of years with really no increase in payroll. what do the sox need to average for attendance this year so that jerry can stop using this as an excuse? 30000-35000? the sox will never again top the cubs in popularity in chicago, so he better no be holding his breath for that.

If the trade goes through, it looks as though Nomar doesn't want to play here, which leaves the possiblity to trade him to the Dodgers. I am really not sold on Perez and Mota. Perez is a guy that seems like he's always be around 10-10 with a 4.00 ERA and as far as Mota...he had a breakout season last year, but if hes so great then why did it take him until he was thirty to figure that out. As far as Miller, hes only 19 or 20 and I absolutely do not trust the White Sox system to help groom him into a major league pitcher. Need I go into all the past failed Sox pitching prospects?
