  1. I'm just wondering if anyone taped the clincher. I'm here in Florida so I couldn't catch the whole game. I wanna see the celebration, the interviews, etc... Does anyone have it in digital format?
  2. Maybe those of you in Chicago have a different perspective on the guy... But one thing about Paulie I will always remember is when the Sox won the AL Central here in Minneapolis in 2000, I was there and He was one of the FEW White Sox to leave the dugout and celebrate with the Fans who were at the Metrodome. If I remember right, he stayed and celebrated, high-fived the fans in the stands, went into the dugout, came back out and celebrated with the fans again, he even brought out Championship T-Shirts that he tossed into the stands. I still will always remember, the fans here were chanting to have Frank Thomas come out and after about 10 minutes or so...He finally came out of the dugout and all he did was waive to the fans from about half way from the first base line to the stands. I used to like Thomas so much...but that one scene just made me lose a lot of respect for a Star that I enjoyed watching play for a long time. I know Paulie has a big contract and he's had his problems at the plate and he's very very very slow....but I'd hate to see a class act like that go. He still performs...I hope there's a way we can still keep him. Like I said maybe you guys in Chicago have a different opinion, but I will always remember this about Paul Konerko. I guess it meant a lot to me to know...that in today's age of high priced ball players someone still has time for the fans.
  3. I just heard one of the Minnesota Twins beat writers say on the radio in Minneapolis that the things are heating up with the Ordonez for Jones and possible Ortiz thrown in there. He didn't give much else but he did say that if the Sox complete that trade then the Twins will really have something to worry about.
  4. The only thing that worries me about this trade is resigning Garcia. I heard on ESPN radio yesterday about 4-5 pm that Seattle had told before the trade that trading him had no reflection on how they felt about him. It was about making the Mariners better. They also said on ESPN radio that Seattle had told Garcia that at the end of the season the Mariners were going to try to re-sign him again. That is what worries me the most about this trade...to give up three young players to rent a pitcher for half a year and then loose him back to his previous team. I do hope the Sox sign him long term before the season is up...
  5. Haven't been in here in a long time... I grew up un Suburban Chicago but don't currently live in Illinois, so I'm not as up to date on information as you guys... But... Why is it that our 5th starter only gets one game? Why not at least let him pitch a couple of games to see how he does? I guess what I'm trying to say is...just because someone has one good game does not neccisarily mean he's gonna do good the next game and the other way around. These are technically "young kids", don't they need at least a game or two to adjust to the majors. Just a thought...Like I said I don't have all the inside info...so I may be wrong but I just wanna know what you all think. thanks.
  6. I used to live in the Suburbs...Big time White Sox fan. I noticed AM1000.com does not stream the radio station any longer. The radio station here didn't do that for awhile too but since then has gotten their radio stream back up online. Any news as to how long it will be before am1000 gets there's up again. Miss hearing white sox radio and news. Aside from paying for MLB.com and listening to games is there any other way to hear White Sox games online? Thanks for any assistance.
