Some of these players need to watch Manny take 2 strikes every at bat and still battle back to get good pitches. If a pitcher is struggling you cant help them by swinging early in the count.

Thats why our good work earlier getting Kazmir's count high was so important because some players on the Sox refuse to take first pitch regardless of how wild the pitcher is. Every one of those batters swung first pitch, each of those pitches was a ball. Thats inexcusable.

Thome, Ramirez, and AJ dont have great plate discipline anyways. Imo Kazmir still has looked the same, just went up against free swingers who arent taking pitches.

It seems like a lot of easy grounders have gotten through the infield the last 2 days. And the Sox hitters never seem to hit grounders to take advantage.

Its not Uribe's defense its his positioning. Hes playing way to close on the turf and the balls are getting to quickly to him. Even Harold Reynolds was able to notice this.

Uribe needs to play farther back on the turf.

I see it as more the Sox are extending innings and making Kazmir keep working. As long as they keep making him work and swing at good pitches eventually good things are going to keep happening. When is the last time the Sox even started getting men on with 2 outs, Swish walked and then a Dye hit. How many more pitches did Kazmir have to throw just cause Swish took that walk.

He was right on that ball just slightly under it. He got the pitch he wanted and just missed it, thats why he was upset. At least he swung at his pitch, Konerko in the last 3 ab has not been swinging at crap so I have to live with 1 for the last 3.

Konerko had a good ab last inning until the pop up, he looks to be seeing the ball well.
