  1. QUOTE (Real @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 07:59 PM)
    Most Red Sox fans calling into this weei radio show saying they can't believe this is all they had to give up

    Very hard to find a Red Sox fan that you don't want to punch in the face.

    Beforehand, Sale wasn't worthy of a prospect like Moncada or Benintendi. Now, Sale was clearly worth way more.

    :fight

  2. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 12:38 PM)
    Really surprised there is 0 quintana chatter and has been. Kind've reaffirms that others don't see his market as the same.

    Teams would likely be giving up only slightly less for Quintana compared to Sale. You wouldn't want to be the GM that emptied the top of your system and got Quintana when Sale was still available.

  3. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 11:16 AM)
    If they can land Moncada AND Benny then the rest is negotiable. I'll take Devers over Kopech because we can develop pitching.

    Moncada/Devers would be the ultimate homerun. Benintendi is a great third piece.

  4. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 07:56 AM)
    Think I'd rather have Profar over Gallo.. Not at all impressed with Gallo

    Exactly my feelings. Gallo has a huge bust factor about him. He's only 22 and could turn it around, but MLB results are scary so far.

  5. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 05:36 PM)
    The president of the University of Texas tweeted an endorsement of Houston.

    This conference.

    Its going to happen. Texas wants it, so little brother Texas Tech has followed suit even though it would do nothing but hurt Tech recruiting wise. Ugh. This conference is going to be patched together until UT and OU bail for the Big 10 or the SEC.

  6. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jul 21, 2016 -> 10:12 AM)
    Does the BIG 12 have a championship game?

    Yes, they voted to add one this year. Doesn't really make sense with 10 teams, but whatever.

    Strong rumors that Nebraska and Colorado want back in. Nebraska's stronghold was Texas recruiting, and it has all but dissipated with the move to the Big 10. The Pac 14 has some huge TV market issues.

    I'll believe it when I see it. I think it will be some dumpy additions like Cincinatti and Houston.

  7. QUOTE (TRU @ Jun 20, 2016 -> 08:38 AM)
    Well again, I didn't mean at this very moment..

    But if he wins 2-3 more titles and a couple more MVP's, plus the finality of his stats there is going be a very strong case that he is the best of all time.. The dude is a freak, I don't think there's any reason to think he cant be dominant for 4 more seasons

    Agree that he will still be dominate, but I don't think he will consistently be healthy. He has the potential to transition to PF in a few years and keep playing until he's 40. He could put up numbers that nobody will ever be able to touch. But I think he could be blocked by future NBA titles if Kevin Durant goes to the Warriors to replace Harrison Barnes.The Cavs will dominate the East for years to come.

  8. QUOTE (TRU @ Jun 20, 2016 -> 08:18 AM)
    I guarantee you no one in Cleveland cares about LeBron going to Miami now. He left as a free agent, get over it already.

    What other superstars are winning championships without a decent team around them? How is that a knock on LeBron?

    6 straight trips to the finals (With two different teams), 3 championships, and probably another 4-5 years of dominance left in the tank.. As hard of a pill as it is to swallow, he will be the greatest of all time even if the Jordan crowd refuses to admit it.

    LeBron already has 13 NBA seasons under his belt and almost 40k minutes played. There's no chance in hell he's going to be dominating(healthy) for 4-5 more years. His body will begin breaking down like Kobe's when he's approaching his mid 30's, especially with all the banging he has endured over the years. The body can only take so much abuse, it doesn't matter if it starts at 18 or 21. LeBron has a legit argument to be made as one of the top 2-3 players in history, but its hard to argue he's better than Jordan.

  9. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 5, 2016 -> 11:12 AM)
    The defense could have been better, but give credit where it's due. Great play call executed to perfection. The best is that Jay Wright barely even reacted when the shot went in.

    Sad part is that Marcus Paige just made an even better shot, and it will be forgotten. Jay Wright is a classy as hell coach though, have a feeling this will be the first of 2-3 championships for him.

  10. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 10:39 PM)
    And how does no one guard Jenkins there? I have no f***ing clue what the hell UNC was doing defensively on that last play. No one ever picks up Jenkins at any point. Just pathetic.

    Nobody is going to ever confuse Roy as a gameday coach. He recruits, gets the team in his system, and then prays on gameday and saves his timeouts to sell on the black market.

  11. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jan 29, 2016 -> 01:22 PM)
    No thanks on Hibbert. Not like this trade would be accepted anyway, but Hibbert struggles in LA, just imagine how he'd struggle on a half-way competent ballclub.

    I don't think Russell is the problem in LA, it's the fact that his coach has completely asinine reasons for benching him/it seeming like they're not really sure how to develop him.

    Hibbert has 15.5M coming off the books after this season. He can either help the club, or go pound sand for the rest of the year.

  12. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Jan 29, 2016 -> 11:17 AM)
    So did anyone else yesterday see the tweets that D'Angelo Russell could be had because they like Clarkson better as a long term PG option?

    Firstly, they're probably kicking themselves they didn't take Porzingis at #2.

    Secondly, and this would never happen, the Bulls should dangle Rose, the Lakers want stars, and to get one in free agency they probably need to trade for one first. Interesting to speculate about though I suppose...

    Enter PHF dumbass trade idea.

    Lakers get: Rose + Portis + 1st round pick

    Bulls get: Russell + Hibbert

    Lakers get a potential star, and a couple of young assets.

    Bulls get a young potential star, and bigtime salary relief a year early with Hibbert coming off the books, and keep lottery pick.
