Definitely true. While I've advocated trading Konerko, seeing him go will be tough.
I'll admit it. He had me in tears when, in 2003, amidst one of the worst slumps I've ever seen, Paully manages to jack an 0-2 off of Eddie Guardado into the left-centerfield stands. I was in tears, so happy for the guy... Wanted to add, in the tenth inning. What a f***ing game that was...
wow tears over somebody you don't even know huh.....cough..loser..cough
-
i agree with every single word you said.
i bet it turned you on too....loser

With 14 or 15 games to go will these sox players reach these numbers...
Paul Konerko-40hrs.....probably
Carlos Lee-30hrs...uh 60/40, 100 rbis...most likely, 40 2bs
Aaron Rowand-40 2bs...i think so, .325+ BA
Shingo takatsu-20 saves
Mark Buehrle-16 wins, ERA under 4
Jose Valentin-150 k's

1. Move those damn fences back.
2. Teach Garland how to pitch.
3. Trade Borchard and another prospect for good setup guy.
4. Get a TOP-NOTCH pitcher from free agency.
5. Tell maggs too f*** off and get and either try anderson or sweeney or get a cheap out fielder.
6. Get rid of crede, and sign beltre
7. Give Carthy a decent chance at makin' the club next spring.
8. Don't resign Jose.
9. Use Uribe and Valdez at short.
10. trade konerko for anything we might actually need.
-
How about they sing "god bless America" during the 7th inning stretch....
thats not enough they need to be more original anyways

I was bored and lil bit ago I thought of a pretty interesting idea......since baseball was so tentative to play and treated it with lots of respect when sept 11 happened i thought that it would be a good tribute that on every sept 11 all games played that day would be 11 innings...idk i thought it was pretty cool... tell me what ya think
-
now see why the hell do i get banned when i do this stuff.....theres always a point to it

While Crede is a loss, the Sox have Fields in AAA and Uribe and Jose can play everyday with Wilson Valdez coming up to the majors to come off the bench or Dransfeldt.
Beltran is a freaking stud, and if their is one thing this lineup now lacks, it is that major piece that can carry an offense. I think Lee and Konerko are capable of doing it, but I don't know if I want to rely on that fact when this team is going for it all.
Beltran is young, way better then Crede and well with Rowand stepping up this yera and Anderson looking like a player, Borchard is expendable, considering Beltran and Lee would be in the OF for a while.
THen Munoz may be a loss, but so what, your getting a freaking all star centerfielder, who may very well be the best centerfielder in baseball. This guy has every bit of ability to be a hall of famer and he is exciting to watch. He may not be hitting for much of an average with Houston, but he is still hammering the hell out of the ball and has had a ton of clutch hits.
fields is already in charlotte?

I've seen 4 web gems from him this year

Ah, so they don't look intentional? Well the manager still has to know this won't sit well with us. If not, he'll find out tomorrow.
ya and we got freddy goin tomorrow
-
bout time our offense woke back up
-
I just hope we will have the same kind of offense for tomorrow's game.
Holy s***! Gload with a nice catch.

Bite his head off Carl!!!!
-
Hahaha, Carlos just stood there and smiled.
Awesome.
Cool
i hope he gets plunked for it too

Een though I couldnt see the Uribe play, and I'm sure I'll end up jinxing him, Uribe is as good a defensive 2b as there is in the majors. Above average range, and a very accurate throwing arm.
very good instincts too
-
Juan made a nice defensive play...
Chopper up the middle. Uribe backhanded and threw a strike fading away from first to get the runner.
schweet

Beautiful play Juan!
DAMN!
how bout a detailed description ....im in nebraska and its obviously not on tv here
