it's very simple here, do you want to make a run at this thing or not. is rowand or garland gonna carry you to the world series, absolutely not. randy "f***ing" johnson will put this team on his back come playoff time. rowand has been solid lately, but i can't believe the support he is getting in this argument, especially when we're talking about RJ.

obviously if kenny can get unit somehow, that would put us over the top. having said that, beltran is a complete stud and the only problem he would bring is getting number 15 away from sandy. he might only be hitting .265 with the astros, but look at the difference he has made on their team, that catch, the entire series against the cubs. i love rowand but he takes a back seat to carlos beltran.

yes this would be a pointless move for the sox to make. however, let's not forget we're talkin about nomar garciaparra. some of you are makin it sound like he is royce clayton. nomar is a stud, and if there was a reasonable way to get him i would take him at shortstop anyday over jose, but i would not want jose out of the lineup of course. however, this deal is not going to happen, so let's not get ahead of ourselves.
