JimH, people also forget that they are going to be loooking to trade away someone once they sign Beltran. Yes Baltimore is going to sign Beltran, they missed out on Vladdy, I have a feeling they are not going to miss out on Beltran.

mayeb you should ask yourself that question.. If you as a GM think your players are good you don't go and trade for a player at the same postion now do you? I mean Steve Finley was out there last year I didn't see us go after him.. Why you ask, its very simple Aarron Rowand was producing, something in the 2 years Harris stiil has not done while on the big league club. And he never will, they handed the job of 2b to him 2 times.. only for him to prove that he is not worthy of it.. I don't see what so hard to understand about that?

All I have to say is Thank god your not the GM.. otherwise I be a tiger Fan... I love how a guy who hits .277/23/100 in 03 and was on the DL for almost 2 months in 04 sucks... and also how the combo of Uribe and Harris, failed in 04 but going to excel in 05? Carla has not put up decent numbers since before he was traded to the SOx in 03 after that his numbers are worse than Wille Harris.

You missing the point, MOntreal Gave us Carla Everett. The team that needs players gave us this guy for a pitcher who might be a good #3/4 guy given time. The Sox should have left him in there to see how he did over 3-4 starts.. That was the main issue with the #5 hole in the roation last year. So far you have told me that Harris and Uribe are great Def players That Gibbons and Roberts sucks ( even though the numbers are differnt) and that you are Glad to have the lazy ass Carla play right... am I missing something?

How much more time are we going to waste on Willie? KW asured fans that Harris was ready in 04, only to fall flat on his face. Harris was suppose to be the Sox version of Juan Pierre.. Omar, was pursued becuase of his glove first and foremost, and 2nd for his bat. not that other way around. The 05 sox are suppose to be around pitching speed and D..much like the Twins have been built around the last 3.5 years.

The fact that it very obviuos that both HArris and Uribe failed to secure those jobs in 04, and you are saying that they are ready to have those jobs in 05. I don't think that we would have persued Visquel if Uribe was able to hanlde SS, and we would have not traded for Robby if Harris was able to handle 2b last year..
