Well to me this is panic time....I think we are all frustrated with this Sox team rightnow...they need something...We have to win now...we are not getting griff...or young...who's left??? At least make some kind of move...we need something to be happy about again...I mean all we have was the Geoff Blum trade...and I nearly pissed my pants when that happened...this is bogus

Alright Tony here is your answer..Stats don't mean s***...The Sox are 74-46 and have the worst Batting Average in pretty much all of baseball...So don't give me all these stats...It comes down to crunch time...who would you rather have...a proven player at the major league level who has been there before...or someone who just plain old sucks...Let me ask you who would you pitch around...Uribe or Boone...

The game is on the line...who do you want up with 2 outs, runner on 2nd....Just think about that 16 inning game...Uribe was up 3 times in that situation...hmmmmmmmm?

I know Bret probablyisn't the 100% answer, but what if we gave him his 3rd shot this year and with the short fences, playoff experience..it might help. He can DH..or play 2nd and Iguchi move over to short. Ican't stand Uribe anyway

Why does Ozzie waste his time with Willie Harris? Today 0-4, failed bunt attempt to move runner over, strike out with runner on. I loved the fact that he pulled him later in the game for the double switch, but do you guys think we can get anyone for him in a trade?

im not set on these moves...Eckstein by the way will sign with the Cardinals..they are in need of a shortstop and will give more money...I thought the moves we could of made would of def. helped us out more and would of been a success for this offseason...ok so we signed average o below average players that nobody wants...Scott Podsednik...Jermaine Dye...Orlando Hernandez...Luis Vizcaino..and Dustin Hermanson...injury prone players..washed up...Spods was a .244 hitter at leadoff...Dye was hurt..and is no comparison to Magglio...El Duque is 35..injury prone..washed up! Vizcaino..decent trade...Hermanson..what else should I say, his era was almost 5...The players we failed to get...Vizquel..Clement..Randy Johnson..Pierzinski..Odalis Perez..It just shows the sox are cheap..not willing to take chances..and Reinsdorf has to go...Give it a C

Kenny Williams needs to be fired right away..i cant take him anymore...we are not going to sign s***!!! I'm tired of his stupid excuses..and i am a die hard sox fan..but kenny can keep believing we will compete...we have a manager who cant speak english..and a gm that sux!!!! we are no better than a 4th place team...failed on signing clement...pierzinski...vizquel...TAKE A CHANCE damn am i pissed!

I was thinking that 2...or says the right things just to play the twins 19 times a year..? I mean he sat in the locker room and rooted for other teams to beat the Twins..now he would get a chance to do it himself...or just sign with the sox to piss off the twins?

Everything seems quiet on the southside....but are there any updates on an AJ Pierzinski or Odalis Perez signing with the sox? R we in a good position to sign both of them? I would be happy if that is all we did for the rest of the offseason! Would u be satisfied?

Haven't heard anything new on AJ besides that there is a chance that a team will sign him by monday? R the sox in any position to sign him tomorrow?

It's not always the GM's fault. It IS possible that after actually scouting someone, they just don't believe these pitchers are worth the money they are asking.
If we sign Clement to 3/$30 and he blows out his arm, than people start b****ing about paying a #3 starter $10 mil per. Again, sometimes the best signings are the ones not made.
If the Sox can stay competitive before the trading deadline, and I think they can, there IS flexibility to go out and make another trade or two for an arm and a bat. Relax, it's time for some of our rookies to step up and i have confidence that they will.
ok dybber who are the sox going to plug into the 5th spot then? Grilli?? Stewart?? Cotts?? We need a 5th starter and if we don't sign one then yes its personnel that is the problem...Kenny Williams has done enough to lose his job over the past few seasons..such as trading away the farm system for 2 players..This is his make it or break it season...He has been in since 2001..and nothing has happened for the sox..he has to pull the trigger on a 5th starter..This is what the fans want including myself...Yes I understand that if we overpay for someone and he blows out his arm..then yeah people will b****..but at least he is taking chances..Show the city of chicago that you want to win..win now..if it means trading an aaron rowand for a starter that can compete, fine..but we can't rely on that 5th starter spot questionmark bulls*** again..That was the reason last year we didnt win...according to kenny..

I truly believe that this could be Kenny's last chance as a GM for the Sox..He has to go out and sign a pitcher..The main offseason plan was to sign another starter because of the inconsistency last year with the 5th starter spot...So if he doesn't sign another starter..what would make this year's team any diff't than last when it comes to starting pitching...? It better happen..or we will have a nice bash session at soxfest come January!

I would love this move by signing AJ...He would be great in the 6th hole right after thomas, konerko, dye...When he was with the Twins...he hit great at the cell..The only concern I have is that he only threw out 17% base-stealers last year..But how much better is Ben Davis or Jamie Burke..In my mind, this would be a great move..So Kenny you have my approval..sign AJ
