  1. Hopefully thats the end of Escobar. That was nasty.
  2. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) Dye with no patience either. Thats bad coaching. LOL. Last time half the board got on him cause he didn't swing at the first pitch.
  3. How bout turning good defense into good offense Scotty. You see it all the time.
  4. SCOTTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I dunno about this pitching around Cabrera for Guerrero stuff.
  6. QUOTE(Harry&JimmyRocked @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) yes they are good but we make SOOOOOOOOOOOO many mistakes when we play them. mistakes we don't make against other teams I will agree with that. Some of it is definately mental I think.
  7. QUOTE(Harry&JimmyRocked @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) why do games against them bring out the very very worst in our team? it can't be coincidence It might be because the two teams on the west coast that have handled us out there have been pretty good the last 3 or 4 years.
  8. Josh Paul coming into catch. THat should be interesting.
  9. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) It was a floating liner right to Anderson. An out is an out. Dude. IT wasn't a 'floating' liner. He crushed that ball. There's nothing else Uribe can do.
  10. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:22 PM) Their worst starter would have been a two or three on many teams in baseball. Exactly.
  11. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) Well anyone who thinks the angels are much better hitters than the white sox are on drugs. I don't I think they are pretty much even, but thats what I've read tonight.
  12. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:19 PM) LOL, so now we are going to blame Contreras for giving up 3 ER in 8.1 innings over our offense that only scored 2 runs? No. I don't blame any of them. I blame Byrd and Washburn.
  13. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) If they were already down one game to nothing i am sure they would be. The difference of the series right now is a s***ty decision by Contreras. Thats it. Other wise both pitchers from both teams have been lights out. I see so much about how much better Angels hitters are, but they've only scored 1 more run.
  14. QUOTE(mmmmmbeeer @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) I guess you're going to tell me that their coaches and manager expected both of them to perform up to their regular season levels under the circumstances I mentioned? Now the Sox are taking it out on the umpire. Brilliant. My point is both teams have incredible pitching. Both teams have given up the EXACT amount of earned runs. I wonder if Angels fans are s***ting their pants like ours are.
  15. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) this umpires zone is getting bigger. sure hope he calls it both ways Don't count on it.
  16. QUOTE(mmmmmbeeer @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) Paul Byrd on 3 days rest and Jarrod Washburn returning from his deathbed does not make for "awesome" pitching. Hitters taking pitches down the middle while swinging at s*** outta the zone or right in on their hands makes those pitchers look "awesome" Yah. Lets just ignore their results over the year.
  17. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Oct 12, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) Someone needs to have a chat with the hitters on the whole corpseball approach. It taint working. If its center in you can swing at the ball. If its in the dirt leave it be. I agree. I think they are trying to strikeout on purpose to piss us all off and it really freaking sucks!!! Cmon guys. Quit sucking against good pitchers on purpose.
  18. These are two awesome pitching teams. ITs incredible. Probably makes for pretty boring baseball for the "normal" fan though.
