  1. Today was awesome! Grinder Bash was really cool! I thought it would be a group thing, but we were free to roam wherever we wanted. Ron Kittle was there and that was great because he is my friends former Sox guy favorite! The weather held out and the food was good! I found a cool little rock on the warning track:0) Thanks for all the input! It worked out great!
  2. QUOTE(bkmoney @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 07:20 PM) i'm from wheaton too.... but at school in champaign. its a wheaton convention There are too many cub fans in Wheaton!! You need to come back here
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 07:09 PM) Last year was a blast. Got on the bullpen phone, dugout, clubhouse, ect. Everything is free as well. If it's anywhere as near as good as last year, go. Dude you are from Wheaton?? Me too! GO SOX!!
  4. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 07:09 PM) Last year was a blast. Got on the bullpen phone, dugout, clubhouse, ect. Everything is free as well. If it's anywhere as near as good as last year, go. I'm going!!! I am so excited for it too!! It sounds like a SOX fans dream!! I am taking pictures too!! Thanks for the info!
  5. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 06:52 PM) All I know is there are two dates, and if you didn't get one for May, you will be going in August. I got for May, but is it cool? I mean they say you can go to the dugout and on the warning track, and it costs nothing?? Former Sox players will be there? A Sox fans dream to go onto the field!! Is it as good as it sounds?
  6. Does anyone know anything about the upcoming Grinder Bash? It is on May 5th and only for season ticket holders. I am one, and am going, but cannot find anything about it on the SOX site. Does anyone here know anything about it??
  7. QUOTE(J-MAN @ Feb 13, 2007 -> 01:36 PM) Now that pitchers and catchers report this week - who's going to spring training and when? As a newbie this is our first time going down to Tucson (we are going down Tues. 3/6 - tickets for games Wed-Saturday) where do the Sox fans frequent ? Any tips on restaurants and places to go at night? I am taking my daughter the last week of March. There is a real good Japanese place called Sakura. It is on the other side of Tucson. The players frequent it. There are tons of photos of all different baseball players on the walls. It is busy, so be prepared to wait for a table, but it is well worth it. At the games, if you want an autograph, get to the compund early, and go back outside if you see someone you want come out of the game. Last year AJ and Buerhle would only sign baseballs, when I was there. Most of them will at least stop and say hi. Good luck and have fun!!
  8. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jan 30, 2007 -> 07:19 PM) He was kidding. :0) I am sure! Thanks!
  9. QUOTE(Beltin @ Jan 30, 2007 -> 06:41 PM) Very easy mistake. They all look alike. They do not all look alike :0) Especially because they all have numbers on their backs! C'mon Crede and Gooch??? Crede is 6'2" and Gooch is 5'10" big difference! :0)
  10. There is one thing, in life as I know it, that can overcome the 2005 Sox season. The birth of my daughter!! The magic, the hopes and the tears will always be remembered as the best months on my life. I am lucky and thankful to be a Sox fan and have that experience! Go go White Sox 2007!!
  11. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 30, 2007 -> 03:10 PM) No man will go to a game with a chick wearing pink sox gear* *Unless she is 8 or younger. I have no pink Sox attire, nor does my daughter!! There is nothing PINK about White Sox baseball :0) QUOTE(mr_genius @ Jan 30, 2007 -> 04:43 PM) i support this new policy I support this new policy too! Basic ballpark etiquette! Also, if you are going to cheer for who is at bat, be sure you know who it is! I had a drunken person behind me last year cheering for Crede when it was Iguchi that was up!
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Dec 14, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) Did the White Sox have the best record in the AL from wire to wire? (remember, the Yankees didn't have to deal with divisions) Yes they did. They fell to Cleveland down to 1.5 ahead, but managed to hold on to that lead. I watched every game :0)
  13. I thought Sox Fest was awesome, not that my opinion counts much. I was there last year and I did like the intimacy versus this year, however the guys deserved it. The whole team deserved the turnout. I saw the crowds and I admit they were inconvinient to say the least. I sat on the floor Saturday with my daughter and brother eating pizza and looking around thinking is there anyway I could have missed this? Nope. I can sit and b**** about the bandwagon fans that jumped on this year but I won't because I know what it meant to me, that I was there. This year was a bit different, some of the players walked thru the Big Bar, but they ended up in Hard Drive. Hard Drive had an area roped off for them. Things are going to change a bit because we are the champs this year, there is a price to pay for glory. We have a title to defend and if it goes our way we will be fighting the crowds and the bandwagon fans for a while. The dedicated Sox fans have a great memories to walk away with that nobody but us will ever really know the true meaning of. 2005 was a season worth waiting for! Nothing I have said is meant to offend anybody. Go SOX 2006!!
  14. I did hear of this. I am going to take a lot of flack, but I do not want Crede to go. I can say g-bye to Garland but not Joe. I am all for the Tejada trade with Garland and Uribe, but not Joe. I know Joe has Boras for an agent and that means KW won't deal. Crede's defense is stellar, and he comes through every time offensively when we need it. A normal at bat will be a pop out, but when we need to tie or we need a walk off he has done it! I am sure there are more things to consider than what I see, in fact I know, but that is something I feel strongly about. Crede needs to stay. I think anything he may lack is made up for in the moments that are critical. That has been what I have seen, especially this year. Crede in the clutch is worth it.
