hope he heals soon -- cy young season at risk
-
what a lame rationale.
-
Biggest takeaway from this series -- Carlos Rodon is looking really good.
-
His inability to throw strikes isn't going away in the bullpen. He's a gas can.
-
Carlos looks good out there

I just like to look forward to the day when I don't see names like Engel, Davidson, Delmonico, Palka and Narvaez on the roster. I don't hate those guys, I like rooting for them and they try hard. Sometimes they're even fun to watch. But you just know they're placeholders and have to hope that the young guys get healthy, continue to develop and get here soon.

Rogers: Jose Abreu is hitting .181 with three homers in 155 at-bats since May 27. His lack of production has a lot to do with the 6-18 stretch that has dropped the
#WhiteSox to a .333 winning percentage. -
this bullpen needs like 5 long relievers

Madrigal deal with a hamstring issue. Begs the question of why the hell was he playing last week?

Lets see if Cooper can work his magic and get the slider to start sliding

Making mistakes at the major leagues is a part of developing. I have no idea how so many people wanted a rebuild but had no idea what playing young people at the major league level looks like.
I get that, 100%. But I do have concerns about a guy who's name comes up too often when issues of hustle and focus are concerned. It's easy to blame a manager or a coach (I do it reflexively) but it doesn't seem like a week goes by when Moncada does something that makes you shake your head. And I'm not talking about strikeouts or stats. At least we got Lopez in that Nats trade; that dude genuinely has a fire about him on the mound, he wants to compete.

I love Avi.

"Overall development more important than daily results, GM says"
ok -- how would you characterize the "overall development" of Yoan Moncada and Lucas Giolito?

42 pitches, 19 strikes. Good ump/bad ump.....that's still awful. I feel this is the year of bad command throughout Sox org
Bring him up -- he'll fit right in

This is not "Rick Renteria's coaching staff" -- he inherited these guys.

He picked it up for the last ten feet, but it was too late. I will be shocked if he starts tomorrow.
Sox prospects have a long way to go to make any significant impact in this turd of a MLB team. Of those that are here, Moncada's development seems to have absolutely stalled; Anderson needs a LOT of work and Giolito has 5th starter stuff.
-
Perfect way to end it -- Leury "ran" with his head down and is out by a step.
-
How about giving Renteria some options in the pen? How about giving him his own coaching staff?

Leads the majors with 40 now
with 2 strikes you've got to be in swing mode. I can't stand Steverson
-
I know there's probably no statistical basis for this observation, but Moncada takes a fuck load of called strike 3s

Fire Ricky Renteria. Its the only we can compete this year.
Sorry, but this really made me laugh. I needed that!

Move Jason to radio with DJ (they'd have fun) and re-hire Rooney or Dave Wills but give him the TV spot with Stone Pony. Send Ed to Charlotte?

So much rather lose with guys who factor into the future vs dead weight.
