Sizemore has stated that he is going to wait until he is completely healthy to sign with a team. I remember reading an article where he said he felt too much pressure to come back and contribute last season while he was under contract. He will wait until around midseason to sign.

Healthy Grady in form would be a great acquisition. He played well against us so all the acqusition of players we acquired never worked out but this guy seemed to be a complete player.

All the hitters seem to have similar approaches at the plate. If there is one player's plate discipline I admire, that would be Carl Everett. Everet change his batting approach when he had 2 strikes. I liked him as a player but I did differ with him on the dinosaur"s existance.

I am going to spring training in early March with my son and grandson. I remember is some of my last visits I was dissapointed in players I thought were going to help us. I also saw players begin well but never amounted to $%^&* I saw Beckham look like he was ready to make the team with his first visit to Glendale. What pitchers position player or just invitees would any of you bet on to make the team.. At a horse race this would be call handicapping. Anyone with some insight?

Frank could neither field nor throw Konerko excels at these. Konerko had a slow beginning and learned how to hit. Konerko by an eyelash. If you added Dick Allen I would say dick Allen is who I want at the plate or in the field.

Trading Dunn (and not obtaining another power bat) would probably have some impact. That being said, I'm not supporting the idea of trading him.

Rios surprised even himself last year. I would gamble that 2013 Rios stats will be at least the same or better than last year's stats.

10. Probably not, he's been in decline since 08. I admit I've never particularly like him, his style, his propensity to be unable to locate in crucial situations.

Every year we have 10 similar questions we saw some very strong performances from Dunn,Rios, Quintanna, Sale, Viciedo and from an array of rookies out of the pen. I would love to see just some improvement from our regulars but am still looking forward to seeing some new blood via trade or fa to this team.

Does everyone realize that the last time that we changed starting catchers we won a world series?

 

I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin. I think one player on this team who has a no trade clause is our 37 year old Konerko. I believe he may be an asset to many teams. He can still play an adequate first base, can hit for power and average. To me he is the face of out whitesox but if he were to agree to a trade that had a 1st baseman a year away could they allow us to pry away another needed piece or lh hitting player that could be used to fill in some of our many holes especially 3rd base.
