i think we should get rid of marte. i just dont trust that guy anymore. plus, he was having issues with ozzie. good luck to kenny to find a sweet leftie to take his place, though.

my thoughts exactly. i think its very likely that frank is done w/ baseball altogether. he may stick around to try to get 500 hrs, but i sincerely doubt it will be w/ the sox

I see absolutely no advantage in acquiring Burnett. Why give up a hot prospect (McCarthy) and a decent lefty (Marte) for an over-rated arm we don't really need. Marte hasn't been as good this year, but I really don't think we need a trade right now. Have you guys forgotten that we're 31 games over .500 right now? Why in the world would we want to change anything?

I'm betting that even if frank does come back this year, his career will be over after this season. at least w/ the sox anyway. he may stick around to try to get 500 hrs, but i doubt it will be with the sox. i'll be sad to see him go, as i have always loved watching him crush the ball. however, after this season anyway, it's time for him to go

there were definitely some obviously wrong ball/strike calls, but they went both ways. i've seen worse

i can sort of get the jist of what ozzie is saying...most of the time. it would be nice if they would include subtitles though. who knows, maybe nobody can tell what he's saying well enough to even write out subtitles. lol

i was going to say something similar to this. i don't think anyone can deny the fact that a lage part of the sox' success this year has been due to the fantastic team chemistry. konerko is down there everyday and he is certainly not hurting the chemistry any.

Why don't you want paulie back? He's a good hitter and a solid first baseman.
