  1. My argument is that what happens between the players with other players and players with management STAYS IN THE LOCKEROOM!! Biased... yes I am. What goes on in there should STAY in there. I can clearly see where that's a flawed logic... You're right.. "someone" can't see both sides...
  2. Yea.. I saw it. TIVO'd it as a matter of fact. One more time... Ozzie didn't have to say ANYTHING. He CHOSE to OPEN his YAP. "No comment on clubhouse or personnel matters as they do not belong in the press"... that would have been the appropriate response. Are you sure YOU saw it.. The media blew it out because Ozzie GAVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO.
  3. What I'm looking at is expenses paid back to the state. No details on this P&L regarding the city, although that doesn't mean they aren't one in the same and combined for summary reporting (we do that on our combined company P&L summary here)
  4. No Jim.. those are the individual numbers for 1999 to 2002. I have no idea what the payments to date $$ amount is. It's $25 million for just the past 4 years.
  5. Eh.. nothing major. 10 minutes of conversation at the Futures game and then a brief encounter in the tunnel. Besides.. Jim was with me. I certiantly know better than to poop in my own back yard..
  6. I ran into him in the tunnel right before he was sent down.. literally. I was walking back to the BP bar from first aid by the offices.. looking down adjusting my band-aid (don't ask...) and BOOM!! I can not tell you how embarrassed I was...
  7. That number is completely contridictory to what I'm looking at. In 2002 alone the payment appears to be near $5 million, in 2001 $7.5 million, in 2001 $6.6 million, and in 1999 $6.2 million. (obviously since this was prepared in September of '03 the '03 $$ are not avaliable). That alone is $25.3 million...
  8. Woah there quickman... slow down. What I have is a summary P&L. Which means that like revenues and costs are rolled up. There is no mention of salaries specifically on the expense side. Very "generic" terms are used. From what's here.. the Sox are NOT making $$. With no other parks to compare it to.. I can't tell you if the operating costs are justified. I can't even calculate it based on my companies costs... (for example.. how in the heck do you determine if.. say.. $8 million is "right" for park maintenance..?). Is the payroll justified... again, things are not listed by line item. I doubt the detail needed to answer that is avaliable to anyone outside the Sox brass and their accounting firm - and no.. I'm not going to try to get that info. Anyday now I expect a knock at the door questioning why and how I got what I did get.. I have no idea what it would take to buy the Sox. From what I can see they are NOT rolling in dough, and maybe.. just maybe.. they are doing it because they love the sport..? The renovations are not credited to anyone. But I assume it was the Sox who went to the commission for approval and not vice versa.
  9. Well hell... I guess if I paid attention to anything other than the garage sale and the Q&A I might know these things. Sorry for the wrong info Abo..
  10. ROTFLMAO!!! Critic... trademark these... and FAST!
  11. Hadn't thought they might just be wandering around. Was he scheduled for anything Vince....?
  12. No to the minor leaguers I'm pretty sure. I don't ever recall seeing any there before. I think it's limited to the big club. As for Koch, Maggs, etc.. no idea yet. I'll post when I get the final email of attendees.
  13. Ouch.. Critic.. ouch.. stop.. ouch.. busting.. ouch.. my.. ouch.. balls.. ouch!!
  14. Hey now.. I DID touch his hand at the futures game...
  15. Absolutely valid argument Brando.. IMO, Frank is ignorant to the way his "innocent' comments will be percieved. He's quiet and he's a jag like Albert was percieved.. he talks and it's ripped apart.
  16. Sorry guys.. but I can't let this opportunity pass... If ya wanted a "feel good" story about Neal... all you had to do was ask me.
  17. I honestly can't take the credit. I just asked around. Someone else risked their butt for it.
  18. Rex.. I have a 5 year P&L summary of the R&E which includes park maintenance, team maintenance, revenue sharing, etc.. It's not detailed by line item, but it gives a good argument to those who think the Sox brass are whiping their butts with $100's.. they sure don't appear to be. I talked to our companies legal rep and he's checking on what I should or should not offer up here to make sure that the site, Jason, and I don't get into any trouble.
  19. Can't we all just get along..???
  20. No Corg.. it's not. I have the confidential copies from the offices of Bear, Sterns & Co, Inc, Ramirez & Co, Loop Capital Marketers, LLC, as well as the financial data from the trust held with LaSalle Bank. I have the "public" files you mention. They are not the same.
  21. Oh c'mon Steve.. don't be such a spoil sport.
  22. You meant to say.. "I guess he wasn't BS'ing after all"..
  23. I'm not so sure about making copies... This was not an easily obtainable document. I'm not sure who does or does not have access to it. I don't want to get anyone in trouble. Let me check out the ramifications of making copies and passing them out in mass at Sox Fest And no.. nothing about management incompetance.. but that's pretty common knowledge and nothing to kill a tree over
  24. Fact is.. most folks don't know anything about Frank other than what's reported. And since Frank doesn't give the media the time of day in regards to the BS, it's not cleared up. IMO.. and a bit more.. perception is reality, and in this case, that percieved reality is wrong. And yes.. the media brought up Frank's name in Ozzie's press conference.. that's what they do.. CAUSE CONTROVERSY.. far be it from Ozzie to have a sliver of a brain functioning in that lop sided melon of his to keep his MOUTH SHUT, and keep focused on why he was there. To announce his new job.. now about how he's going to deal with his players BEHIND CLOSED DOORS. I'm done. Agree to disagree I guess.
