Ahh... sarcasm, kiddo. And clean this s*** out of your ears and get some new contacts.. I said and typed that YOU WON the "tie goes to the runner" argument. And don't fly your bird over this way. You know how I feel about that and if you want to play that game.. go find yourself a confused little college gal to play with.

Oh my.. I would never hang myself... Might hang Neal.. by the balls.. but not myself. -
well i dont care if he lurks here or not.. i wouldnt have started his walk tossing ass today........ .........neal no offence but dude your just not ready yet.........get some control.. toss less balls and then maybe we call you up next year... Alright you... enough already. Go take a nap!

Neil Cotts belongs nowhere near the majors-he is not under control. To start him today was just another example of how Jerry Manuel thinks he knows more than most. Why not start Buerhle--to save him for the worst team in baseball? I would agree with this if we had a somewhat competant 5th starter, but he dont. Every game is important because you dont want to lose momentum, or exhaust your bullpen. As for Neil cotts, take your ass back to wherever, cause you suck dick! Why's this directed towards me?

I have it from a good source that he might lurk here occasionally... So... Hell yes I would have put him out there!!

now see there, yes. Sox fans turn on their own too easily in my opinion. If a player is not dogging it (a la, in my opinion, Colon in some games and D'Lo with every breath he took for eaxample) then a slump I will stick with them and wonder why others turn on them. MB was ripped earlier this year and as you point out, PK was and is and why PK is getting all this blasting I have no idea. I don;t understand it. Given my druthers, since it is a long season and no one hoits 400 anymore, if a player is going to ahve a slump, the early part of the season is better than the late part. And it is a team game - everyone slumps - so a player has to give the best that he can and his team mates have to carry him for a while because it happens to everyone and that is why it is a team game. So I certainly agree, the deities fdorgive a player going into a slump because the vultures will be out... First of all, Vince... where exactly was he getting slack he didn't deserve? Did he stink up the joint the first half? Yes. Did anyone s*** on him for his performance since the break? No. You want to sit there on top of the hill and pretend he's been the savior.. then go for it. But don't pretend like you don't know why he's gotten the crap he's gotten this year. Both of those threads.. and nearly every post in them.. was simple poster bashing. That's all it was. No more, no less. I don't think anyone is pretending he is the savior, but I think we can all agree that he would be highly valuable in the stretch run if he continues to hit. There is no doubt he deserved the criticism he got in the first half of the season, and even the second half of last year. But please don't pretend you are unaware of those who still seem to criticize him now that he's turned it around a bit. Maybe some were "poster bashing", but I was simply asking a question as to why some people are relentless on the guy. Haywood.. I wasn't even thinking it was you that was bashing, so don't take it personally. MO.. people say what they want. Who cares. No worries. And if it bothers someone that much.. they need to get up and stretch the leggs And, as I said - right there in black and white, no one is s***ting on him for what he's doing "now".

Ahhhh shaddddup you! You are bad luck!! -
The same thing could have very well happened to Mark... Just like we rolled and smoked Roger and David.. Mark could have gotten the crapola beat out of him just the same as Neal. So.... BACK OFF NEAL! Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Wouldn't be surprised if they lose that this kills the momentum and dent's their confidence. One game? With a rookie starter? I think you are overestimating the affect this will have. Who cares about yesterday. Every game is another stat, and extremely crutial at this point. I agree that every game is a stat but I stand with Molto when he said decisions JM made for starting pitcher in this case gave us the best chance to come out with at least one win out of these two games. Switch the starters around and we could have easily come away with the loss in both. BJ.. I agree Cotts should have started. However I think he should have come out after walking 2 or 3 in a row (no tv so I don't know exactly how it went down). No sense in keeping him in there as he'd be likely to start trying to toss faster and might end up hurting himself. Give him the lesson.. he's got to get it. But to leave him in there.. geez. Danny should have been warming up as the game started.

I thought it was obvious that they do..

This is going to do some damage to his ego.. After the cream in the face (i.e.. the "big boys" making him feel like he belonged) I wouldn't be surprised if he's in the tunnel crying. Hell.. I feel so bad for him right now I feel like crying
