  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 10, 2015 -> 07:30 AM)
    Hi. I'm Steve. I live in 2015 where a gazillion songs are available to me at all times from anywhere with better clarity and sound.

    Clearly Steve either owns stock in iTunes or just listened to a record on a My First Fisher Price.

  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 01:47 PM)
    The Sox have actually coached him not to. More valuable staying healthy.

    Do you the article or quote that proves this? Everything has always come from Avi's mouth that he will NEVER dive for a ball again, "Maybe, if we were in the World Series..."

    More valuable not to dive??? Is Derrick Rose his agent??? That's a joke.

    What the f*** good is an outfielder that can't dive?? Might as well make him a DH. I'd rather have Dayan than Avi the Scared p****.

  3. After he came back from injury last year, he was quoted in an interview saying that he'd think twice before he ever dives to catch a ball ever again. I do commend him for making that come-back last year, but I lost a lot of future hope with that statement.

  4. Most Fan Fests and Conventions feature their minor leaguers and retired players/ambassadors even moreso than the White Sox do. The Sox actually do a great job of getting current players from their roster to come year after year, especially right before Spring Training. At the Blackhawks convention for example, you have to be VIP hotel guest or "win" a scratch-off (near impossible) to get to meet any player(s) from current team. The Brewers make attendees pay extra for current and popular players.

    Agreed. Some great nights have been had at Soxfests of long ago in the hotel bar.

    Nothing can ever top the drunken Freddy Garcia "Cubs Suck" chanting. The good ole days of Soxfest past.

  6. If anyone has an extra day pass available for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I am looking for 1 or 2 passes for any of the days and can meet with cash. Also have plenty of Sox autographs, rookie carda and bobbleheads I can offer. Just let me know what you are looking for.

    Email me: jeffgleich@allstate.com

    Cheers

  7. Subject says it all, I'm looking for one or two Soxfest passes for either Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I was out out of town when individual daily passes went on-sale this year, and obviously sold-out. Willing to meet with cash or if you are looking for any autographs, rookie cards or bobbleheads of your favorite Sox players, I am all ears. I have a ton of memorabilia to offer...

    Please email me:

    They sell at the Bullpen Sports Bar til at least an hour after final out, so I don't see why this beer garden would be different. It kinda defeats the purpose of the 7th inning cut off, but thats another discussion. Either way, I like the idea. Wrigley has that new Captain Morgan Club, which is solid if you want a drink or two outside before the game.

    I agree completely, but judging by the "rendering", I'm hoping this is just not some lame excuse to try and copy the Capt Morgan club, without getting a sponsor to come in a do it right. Nevertheless, beers will be cheaper before and after the game at the Cork and other fine establishments in the neighborhood.

  9. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 01:34 PM)
    I will be cheering him on, and even stand up and clap if he hits a HR vs. us, just like I did with Crede.

    Are you a Twins fan? That was my most embarrassing moment as a Sox fan....people standing up and cheering after Joe Crede goes yard against us in a Twins uniform. There's not a game that goes by where I don't hear "Crede would have had that", IMO most overrated player in White Sox history.

  10. QUOTE (Real @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 10:41 AM)
    Small sample size, but just throwing it out there

    Just hit the damn ball and we'll win games, it's as simple as that really

    When was the last time you've seen a Sox team do that?

  11. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 10:29 AM)
    The part I can not get out of my head is the offense looks like last year and the defense is just AWFUL thus far.

    Fixed. This team was not ready to play baseball out of Spring Training, and it painfully shows. We can have all the pitching we want, but unless you have a defense to back it up, that won't be worth s***. Through 4 games, I view the White Sox as one of the most under-prepared teams in MLB and I've completely changed my expectations of this team. It can and probably will get much worse, and that's coming from one of the most optimistic fans out there.

  12. Obviously we are not Cleveland fans, and I certainly don't expect boos, but are you expecting an overly-generous ovation? Standing? Along the same lines, do you expect the Sox to do something special on the scoreboard. Should be interesting... let's not hope he beats Danksy tonight.
