Once we get out of this offensive slump, the team will be just fine! But, the thing is , when will the slump end?
-
I'll have to agree, the Sox upside is huge. The pitching has been ok, but we could have 17 to 20 wins if we could just score runs!
-
I am 100% optomistic about the Sox. they are just struggling! There is no reason to be talking abput fire sale's and trades and such and such. The team is .500! At this point last year, where were we. 1 month has passed by and we are 14-13, OMG, chill people. There are 5 more moths left!!!!!
-
True, good point CubKilla!
-
Agreed! Remember the Fog Bowl between the Bears and Giants. Freaky s*** man!
-
WTF! A FOG DELAY! Thats bulls***! Let em play!
-
Hell nah b****, this is a stick up. Give me the flipping inswers!
-
1) Do you accept credit cards? 2) GIVE ME THE DAMN ANSWERS!!!!!!
-
Hey, when Bill Self was hired, nobody wanted him and look how he turned out. I believe Weber will be just fine.
-
Hey, Cory the Psychic, I was wondering 2 things. Where will I attend college and how many World Serie's will the Sox win in the next 25 years?
-
It's 6:35 and the weather is clear and the ground has dried up. Not 1 drop since 3:00. Look's like that 30% chance of no rain is kicking in. The game WILL start on schedule!
-
Hey ws247, I think your right!
-
Yeah, for the trillionth time, I live 10 minutes from the Cell. I try to get as many games in as possible but Im only 13 and I am the only one (including my 9 yr old lil sis) that doesnt work. I get weekend games in all the time though. Weeknight games depend on if my dad gets home at or before 5:00. My mom works till 1 in the morning so she is excluded. So, yeah, I live 10 minutes from the Cell but I cant drive (which will be different in 2 years). When I get the chance I go, but the age and parent thing sucks! But hey, maybe 1 weekend, all of us that post here that live in Chicago (or in the area) can get together and bye tickets for 1 game. We could sit together and stuff. That would be fun!

Man, if we have 2 guys ripping batters in AAA but aren't quite ready for the MLB then we are in GREAT position! If (god forbid) anything happened to one of our starters, Im confident we can bring up a AAA'er anfd still be as effective! Good job MP and JR!

Who is pitching tommorrow? Garland, right?
-
The area in which the Cell is, is a pretty bad neighborhood. I live on the south-east side so Im not THAT close to the field. A quick explanation to where I live is that Im basically right on the border of Illinois and Indiana. I live in the "letter" avenues. I live on Avenue L. It goes from State Line Ave (the border) to Avenue A all the way through the alphabet to Avenue O! But this isnt my life story! So, my prayers go out to the officer and his family. Get well soon.
-
I live 10 minutes from the Cell and right now it's 5:23 and its clear. It hasn't rained since approx. 3:00 CT. So, it looks like this game will be on schedule. If it does start raining, guys who are going, stick in there, cuz this game will be played!

Hopefully, 2-1 in favor of the Sox!

To wsc425: I have some answers to your questions. 1) Also, when a whole group of assholes bothers me behind my back then what do I do? Well, you confront them and ask them if they have been talkin s*** behind your back. If yes, ask why and kick his ass. If no, ask him if he's denying it and then kick his ass. 2) Lastly, what do I do if one guy wants to fight after school, do I go solo, or have an army of my mob to back me up and jump their punkasses? Well, if he's buff and strong, get A COUPLE buddies who are buff and strong. If he's scrawny, than kick his ass by yourself and make your presence felt! If you have no buff friends, then get a few more guys. Make sure it is no more than 10 of your peeps. 3) Theres a group of b****es in my gym that always make fun of me and s***. They don't give a foulke of what comebacks I have. (I really don't have great ones) Insult them stupid b****es! Make fun of their hair or lips or hairy legs or something like that infront of your whole class! It works for me!

What about the one with "Oh yeah, well, he ain't seen my heat! I want to announce my presence with authority!" "Ok meat, show me heat!" or "Free leftover bagels in the luncheon room" When all the mascots and reporters are running through the halls!
-
With 2 of the fastest working pitchers in the MLB going tonight, in 2 hours, we will be able to get AT LEAST 5 innings in.
-
I didn't vote because there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to be talking about a fire sale. We are in playoff contention (so to speak) and this thread is meaningless!

The 2nd game of a 3 game set and gametime is set for 7:05 CT (pending weather) and the starters for "The Battle of the Southpaw's" are: OAK: LHP Mark Mulder- 3-1, 3.71 ERA CHI: LHP Mark Buehrle- 2-3, 3.38 ERA Mulder is 2-0, with a 3.41 lifetime ERA vs. CHI, and Buehrle is 1-3, with a 3.86 lifetime ERA vs. OAK. Carlos Lee is 4-for-11 with one home run and two RBIs against Mulder. ... Magglio Ordonez is 4-for-10 against Mulder, with two doubles, one home run and three RBIs. Look for Tony Graffanino to be in the lineup for a second straight night, as he is hitting .300 off Mulder. Paul Konerko, Sandy Alomar, Aaron Rowand and Joe Crede are a combined 0-for-18 vs. Mulder. The White Sox are hitting .318 as a team against left-handed pitchers. D’Angelo Jimenez is hitting .471 in 17 at-bats against lefties. ... Buehrle and Bartolo Colon combined to win 39 games last season. Barry Zito and Mulder, the A’s first two starters in the series, combined to win 42. Magglio Ordonez had his streak snapped of 23 consecutive games reaching base on Tuesday. Kelly Wunsch extended his hitless and scoreless streak to seven innings pitched over nine appearances. Aaron Rowand broke an 0-for-20 slump with an RBI-single in the fourth. Paul Konerko has hit safely in eight straight games (10-for-32). Colon made his fifth quality start Tuesday. Weather: The temperature will be a nice 68 degrees but there is a 70% chance of thunderstorms! I have got to agree whitesoxfan. Anything more than 15 wins for Stevie is a gift! Also, the way he's going, I think he will be able to be, at least, decent versus good teams.
