Maybe he is replacing Masset and Masset will be sent down to get stretched out. I have been pretty impressed with him so far this year so stretching him out and giving him a chance could allow us to trade a starter for some offense?? I'm not saying its a good idea.. the thought did cross my mind though.

Doesn't look like many changes, except somehow Konerko and Thome moved up in the line-up!

He struggled his first season in AA, but that was with the Phitin Phils organizatin. He came back to the Sox and put up solid #'s while repeating AA in Birmingham, although that's something of a pitcher's park.

 

 

Maybe he will struggle and the Athletics will trade him back to us and he will eventually land us another player.

Only place I'm going to miss Uribe is in Charlotte. OC is going to finish the year of solid as much as he may not like playing in Chicago.

I agree. AJ is a much better hitter when he is given a role like #2 hitter, versus a power guy in the #5 or #6 slot. This is the AJ I fell in hate with when he was a Twin.

Figgins seems like he is always on the DL. I would rather have Fields at third.

is richar really still in our plans? i feel like he's just dropped off the map entirely. i mean, i realize he's hurt, but now w/ alexei... doesn't he become expendable?

 

I though Ramirez was brought in to be our SS next year and Richar our 2b.

 

I dont see OC or Uribe on this team next year. I think that OC is going to have a good year, but I dont see him resigning with the Sox after all the speculation. Mostly his complaining.
