  1. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 03:17 PM)
Just heard this line-up on ESPN 1000:

    Cabrera SS

    AJP C

    CQ LF

    Konerko 1B

    Thome DH

    Dye RF

    Swisher CF

    Crede 3B

    Ramirez 2B

Doesn't look like many changes, except somehow Konerko and Thome moved up in the line-up!

Maybe Ozzie has Konerko and Swisher batting left handed???

He struggled his first season in AA, but that was with the Phitin Phils organizatin. He came back to the Sox and put up solid #'s while repeating AA in Birmingham, although that's something of a pitcher's park.

Maybe he will struggle and the Athletics will trade him back to us and he will eventually land us another player.

    1. Thome 2. Swisher 3. ???????

the only guy i was really upset to give up in this deal was Gio.

Not doing so good in AAA.

Player W L ERA G GS IP H R ER HR HB BB SO WHIP HLD GF

    Gio Gonzalez 2 2 5.37 11 11 53.2 59 34 32 6 0 28 51 1.62 0 0

Did he usually struggle when first moved up each time?

  4. Never in my wildest dreams would I ever come close to think of saying that I miss Uribe at SS. But I'd be lying through my ass if I said I didn't. At least he puts the team before himself, and always has...

Only place I'm going to miss Uribe is in Charlotte. OC is going to finish the year of solid as much as he may not like playing in Chicago.

Chone Figgins could be headed back to the disabled list with soreness in his right leg.

Figgins' leg still isn't feeling well enough to play, and if it doesn't improve soon he could be placed on the disabled list retroactive to his May 21 start in Toronto. The soreness is in a different area than that which originally sent him to the DL. ""It's more tendinitis in his tendon as opposed to muscle," Scioscia said. "So, we're a little frustrated. Figgy is too." May. 27 - 1:26 am et

is richar really still in our plans? i feel like he's just dropped off the map entirely. i mean, i realize he's hurt, but now w/ alexei... doesn't he become expendable?

I though Ramirez was brought in to be our SS next year and Richar our 2b.

I dont see OC or Uribe on this team next year. I think that OC is going to have a good year, but I dont see him resigning with the Sox after all the speculation. Mostly his complaining.
