Maybe he is replacing Masset and Masset will be sent down to get stretched out. I have been pretty impressed with him so far this year so stretching him out and giving him a chance could allow us to trade a starter for some offense?? I'm not saying its a good idea.. the thought did cross my mind though.

Is there a link sayin he signed with SOX?
-
I love this guy. He makes the Sox fun to watch. I'm looking forward to a double play combo Ramirez - Richar.
-
What was Ramirez's error? I didnt get to see the game. How has his defense been the last few games?
-
Dejusus would look good on the Sox

QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 03:17 PM)Just heard this line-up on ESPN 1000:
Cabrera SS
AJP C
CQ LF
Konerko 1B
Thome DH
Dye RF
Swisher CF
Crede 3B
Ramirez 2B
Doesn't look like many changes, except somehow Konerko and Thome moved up in the line-up!
Maybe Ozzie has Konerko and Swisher batting left handed???

QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 2, 2008 -> 02:09 PM)anything of substance in these 15 pages that i should read ?
Konerko, Thome, Swisher cant hit a baseball

was Konerko hurt in 2003 or was he just bad?

We do well against Tampa patching. I think we should take 3 of 4.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 29, 2008 -> 01:19 PM)He struggled his first season in AA, but that was with the Phitin Phils organizatin. He came back to the Sox and put up solid #'s while repeating AA in Birmingham, although that's something of a pitcher's park.
Maybe he will struggle and the Athletics will trade him back to us and he will eventually land us another player.
1. Thome 2. Swisher 3. ???????

QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ May 29, 2008 -> 01:52 PM)the only guy i was really upset to give up in this deal was Gio.
Not doing so good in AAA.
Player W L ERA G GS IP H R ER HR HB BB SO WHIP HLD GF
Gio Gonzalez 2 2 5.37 11 11 53.2 59 34 32 6 0 28 51 1.62 0 0
Did he usually struggle when first moved up each time?

Ryan Sweeney has that nice lookings .293 average and .353 on base percentage.
I wonder if he will develope any power..... Slugging just barely over .400

Never in my wildest dreams would I ever come close to think of saying that I miss Uribe at SS. But I'd be lying through my ass if I said I didn't. At least he puts the team before himself, and always has...
[/quot
Only place I'm going to miss Uribe is in Charlotte. OC is going to finish the year of solid as much as he may not like playing in Chicago.
-
today they flipped them... got Richar at SS and Uribe at 2b, but last few days had Uribe at SS
-
Anyone notice that Uribe has been playing ss and not 2b in Charlotte? Does this mean that when he comes back he is our utility man?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 28, 2008 -> 08:35 AM)I agree. AJ is a much better hitter when he is given a role like #2 hitter, versus a power guy in the #5 or #6 slot. This is the AJ I fell in hate with when he was a Twin.
he is a doubles machine this year

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 28, 2008 -> 02:44 PM)Fields for Figgins?
2008: Crede 3B, Cabrera SS, Figgins 2B?
2009: Figgins 3B, Ramirez SS, Richar 2B?
Figgins seems like he is always on the DL. I would rather have Fields at third.
-
2 more hits and 2 more runs today.. that batting average is rising

per rotoworld
Chone Figgins could be headed back to the disabled list with soreness in his right leg.
Figgins' leg still isn't feeling well enough to play, and if it doesn't improve soon he could be placed on the disabled list retroactive to his May 21 start in Toronto. The soreness is in a different area than that which originally sent him to the DL. ""It's more tendinitis in his tendon as opposed to muscle," Scioscia said. "So, we're a little frustrated. Figgy is too." May. 27 - 1:26 am et

How has Ramirez looked today? I didn't get chance to watch game.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ May 27, 2008 -> 04:52 PM)In Charlotte's starting lineup tonight.
they cant bring him back up if he goes hitless can they?

QUOTE (Reddy @ May 27, 2008 -> 12:50 PM)is richar really still in our plans? i feel like he's just dropped off the map entirely. i mean, i realize he's hurt, but now w/ alexei... doesn't he become expendable?
I though Ramirez was brought in to be our SS next year and Richar our 2b.
I dont see OC or Uribe on this team next year. I think that OC is going to have a good year, but I dont see him resigning with the Sox after all the speculation. Mostly his complaining.

Ohh, I thought he had one more option left. I guess it was Mac with one option left.
