  1. I would think that, as a player, it would be somewhat of an honor to be booed. That shows that people know who you are and you're not some guy that people didn't come to see. Anyways, who really cares if someone gets booed (other than the stupid media)?!?!?! I'm sure that the players have a few laughs after the game talking about how the fans treat them.

  2. It's not Manuel's fault that his batters can't hit a baseball. However, that is how it is in baseball, if a team doesn't perform up to expectations fire the manager. Hopefully they get it going before it comes to that. But, maybe, just maybe, a new manager would give this team the spark it needs. Hopefully Williams going public with these statements does just that.

  3. it started slow (Sheffield couldn't hit until almost the end of his at bat in round one) but it got electric as it moved along

This is also what it sounded like to me watching on tv. I don't know where people got the idea that the crowd wasn't into it. Especially when Giambi was trying to tie Pujols in the semis and when Pujols was chasing Anderson in the finals. The crowd was loud, on their feet, and into it. I'm sure the crowd will be even more enthused for the actual game because "this time it counts"... ;)

  4. Am I the only one here who watched on tv AND thought that the crowd sounded into it? I'll admit that it sounded a little quiet in the beginning, until Giambi got it going at the end of the first round. But, from then on the crowd was on there feet and (loudly) cheering every batter.

I can't speak for the Ataris performance, I wasn't really paying attention.

  5. I kinda wish that the sox were in the east or west. Then, i could've given up on them in april. Instead, they play like s*** and remain in contention and i have this stupid thing called hope that they can gain some momentum after the all-star break. :bang

And if they do somehow get into the playoffs, we'll have to suffer a sweep at the hands of a far superior team. Hell, texas (last place in the west) could win this division if they were in it.

Also, if kc did end up winning this division, it would be the fourth division champion in 4 years.

    2000-White Sox

    2001-Indians

    2002-Twins

    2003-Royals?

That truly shows how wide-open this race is.

Look out for the Tigers next year!

  6. Anyone else have that feeling where you just can't keep that smirk off of you're face and no matter what happens you just feel great. Kind of like in 2000 when they clinched the division title in Minnesota. I sure do.
