Mets bullpen blows yet another one...Pedro left winning 5-1 in the sixth, bullpen gives up 3 in the 7th, 3 in the 9th to the pirates...wagner was struggling a bit before he went on the DL, but without him they have been so bad...they should probably have a nice cushion in that division if they could close a game out...
-
I'm surprised the Astros didn't claim him...they lost El Caballo for the rest of the season and are in the thick of a pennant race, or at least their GM still seems to think so...

Going to the game tonight, last time I saw Beckett pitch was 2 years ago in Yankee Stadium and NY put up about 10 runs on him...hope we can do the same and give Danks an easy win!

Dear Raul,
Just wanted to say thanks for the 11 RBIs in the last 2 games vs. the Twins. Nobody in Seattle may watch Mariners baseball anymore, but many people in Chicago definitely have been the last couple days. And with seven more games coming up against the Twins in August, just wanted to say, keep up the good work!!!
Thanks,
LittleHurt05
P.S. If you were looking for a good time to come down with a small injury to get a few days rest, I recommend it happen from August 18-20...

Sweet!!!! I was out watching the game last night, but went home after the 5th, positive the game was over and we were still stuck in 2nd...way to show some life Mariners!

Pretty good deal for the Rays, if they at least get him next year, cause they definitely will compete next year too...

QUOTE (bschmaranz @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 11:34 AM)Let's hope Ozzie doesn't put Ken on brain tonic.

I know, he'll end up looking exactly like Shelden Williams!

Interesting Quote from the ESPN Fantasy Baseball Chat:
Frank (Brooklyn): It would take two seconds to answer this Eric, C'mon...Lohse/Hardy or Marcum/Alexi Ramirez...Thanks
Eric Karabell: (11:31 AM ET ) Probably the Lohse side, because Marcum does not look like the same guy from the first two months. Don't be surprised if Alexi Ramirez is the White Sox starting shortstop starting tomorrow.
Maybe this is all setting up to something bigger with OC heading out...

QUOTE (kane0730 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 09:58 AM)Cbs sportsline is reporting its Griffey for Massett & Richar.
Huh...cant say I'm a big fan of that one, although Alexei did take Richar's 2b spot...

QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 09:36 AM)SCORE with a nice thought, Griffey had to move to RF because Dunn is so bad in left they needed a better CF, just a thought.
Makes some sense to me.
I dont know, kinda sounds like they are just trying to put any positive spin on it they can, no matter how out there it may be...

I really hope they brought him up to start as Crede's replacement, not to back up Uribe at third.

Its not a question of how he does, its how long til he gets hurt again? Hes one of the most talented guys in the league, but talk about injury-prone...
