Because the 2 hole hitter gets a ton of fastballs, and that's all Alexei Ramirez can hit. Why do you think he's done so well there?

Hah. Wow, on mlb.tv, (I'm forced to watch the Tigers side of the broadcast) their scouting report of Verlander says "Spanked the Sox", I guess they forgot to mention his career stats against us.

That's actually a really solid idea, Zimmerman plays excellent D at 3rd and provides a solid bat that would do well in the Cell.
I don't want to deal Flowers though, I'd offer a package built around Poreda, Getz and Clayton Richard. Three guys I just don't want to see traded are Tyler Flowers, Jordan Danks and Dan Hudson.
