QUOTE (beckham15 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 09:17 PM) he's got a funky motion we wont do crap against him
-
What a stud Go back to Alabama, Scott or wherever the f*** you're from

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 09:08 PM) Well thats it for me. Never again. Sox games go off from now on if I ever see linebrink in a game we're not up by or down by at least 10. Ozzie doesn't seem to absorb information as well as he should. Linebrink has proven over and over that he can't be counted on in close games. Yes I understand we abused our pen because of the EI game yesterday, but Santos is clearly available and should've been warming up before Linebrink God that contract is really hamstringing us in the pen
-
dear lord, get Santos in here
-
That didnt take long, lol

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 09:01 PM) PS. The bullpen phone is extremely loud this year, you can hear it on TV. Sounds like an alarm going off!
-
QUOTE (beckham15 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 08:58 PM) rake rake rake lol, Rios has talent, and I always jump to his defense Linebrink was a bad signing and is still is a bad signing. Even a moron can see that.
-
LOLinebrink Leadoff walk!
-
If Linebrink pitches like he did in Spring Training, he'll pitch about 2/3 and give up around 4-5 runs before Ozzie has time to get someone warmed up in the pen.

QUOTE (Bhay99 @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 08:53 PM) can you guys shut up about rios now? It's the bane of the chicago fan, you'll hear it all year long. Any player who makes an inordinant amount of money will get raked over the coals whenever they don't go 3 for 4 on a nightly basis. Fortunately I dont live in chitown
-
Rios has a heartbeat!

Nobody in the lineup has any clue what Liriano is about to throw, they're guessing 100% at every pitch. If you can't, as a major league hitter, understand the situation as a hitter based on what the count is along with whether or not the pitcher is wild or locating well, then you'll be grabbing bench all night long.
-
We could easily be 1-6 to start the season, very easily actually. These guys just have no clue how to hit a baseball right now.
-
Gardenhire would take Liriano out against ANY TEAM IN BASEBALL if he struggles the way he is tonight, any team in baseball except for the f****** White Sox.
-
This is a brutal start of the season, probably gonna take a week off watching the Sox if we lose tonight. I have other things to get frustrated over in my life than the mental midgets on the south side.

Alexerror Ramirez
-
ND for Danksy, go figure Unless we can figure out Cy Liriano
-
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 08:21 PM) Does anyone have pitch count on hand? I think Danks is at 81 or 82 The dropped ball by Alexei has the MLB Gameday update person scratching their head, completely froze the feed. Haha
-
I wonder when the offense will start looking for breaking balls instead of just fastballs The 3 hits off Danksy were all breaking pitches. We never seem to hit anything but fastballs, which is why guys like Scott Baker own us because he throws 3-1 sliders and changeups
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 07:54 PM) Idiot. Useless post.
-
Lucy going the other way I find it odd that players who we rarely see get playing time, are taking the right approach Guys who get a lot of PT tend to pull way too many outside pitches Maybe Rongey is on to something when he says that perhaps when the hitters step into the box, and see how close the OF fences are, they get into homerun pull-mode
-
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 07:48 PM) I think he will be a very decent SS defensively, seems like he is doing things right already. I know its only been few games but last half of 09 and now. I know from watching pretty much every non-WCIU Sox game last year, that Alexei's main problem (which caused a lot of his throws to be erratic to 1B) was that he never made his own hops, he would never charge a ball. He would always wait for the ball to him, often backing himself up in the process, ultimately making his throws to 1B flat-footed If he could start making his own hops, i think we'll see a lot less throws by Alexei where he has too much time to think about it
-
OZZIE BALL. haha
-
one thing you cant complain about so far this year the sox are definitely taking walks, once the weather warms up a bit i think we'll be in good shape, so long as we stay healthy
-
also, it's sad that when we're getting no-hit in the first inning, it can actually be a warranted concern given the way we're swinging the bats right now lol
