  1. Adam Dunn is really the missing piece to the puzzle.. he's literally the PERFECT fit... power, lefty bat who draws a lot of walks... could hit 50+ homers in The Cell... could play a little first or LF and DH... He's also in the final year of the short contract with the Nationals and I assume could be had if the package is right... what does everyone think it would take to land him? Morel and Retherford? Retherford and a pitcher?
  2. Between Peavy's comments... Beckham following suit and getting another year under his belt and Alexei and he taking part in a VOLUNTARY camp before spring training I am really liking the attitude this team is taking right now... they are hungry again, possibly real hungry for the first time since '05.... it could be a special year on the south side once again
  3. TCQ No doubt... even if Carter pans out and Q can't stay healthy, the only argument would be hindsight is 20/20... KW made the trade for the last 2 seasons as well as the future... he could not have known last season would unravel as it did... if the Sox had won the division, Thome is still around.. then, as was the case 2 years ago, thome is DH and Konerko is at 1st base and the earliest Carter becomes a white sox rookie is 2011... If Carter were an outfielder or third baseman, maybe it's something to consider but as a 1B/DH this was a no brainer for where our organization was... Brandon Allen was also very highly thought of at the time, and I fear that trade for Tony Pena may come back to bite us even more...
