  1. Theres still time for kirk to play better. Its only been like 16 games. Despite his poor offense he still defends well and sets up the offense well. Hes like a more versatile bogans. The way hes shootng now hes def not worth the contract but I have hope that he will start shooting better. As for naz...he cant do anything if thibs wont play him. Lets not ignore all the things I was RIGHT about
  2. Meh. Two people that need to start playing better are Noah and Deng. They're our all-stars and they need to play liek all-stars: consistently good. Noah seems to have found a better offensive game but it doesn't show up every night. Deng needs to step up but he's trying to do things he's never been that great at: dribbling, creating, going iso. Yesterday I thought his poor play cost us the game. He let Paul George go off and he caused many key turnovers. Today, while he played pretty well, he's still turning the ball over as much as he's assisting buckets. He's got to play better, a 15 PER (and I know some of you don't like PER) is just not good enough from a guy who is supposed to be our 2nd best player Same can be said for Boozer, but I've given up on Boozer. He's a goner soon any way.
  3. Will be good to see the Charlotte Hornets make a comeback
  4. He's just getting comfortable, he's been looking a lot better than the first few weeks he was here. He's still hesitating a lot on his shot though, worse than Kyle Korver in his first year as a Bull. He does that pump-fake/step under the line move a lot instead of just raising up.
  5. Fun fact: Marco Bellineli is shooting better from 3 than J.j. Reddick is. I think Marco can still be the dead-eye 3pt shooter we so badly need
  6. Source: Bulls star Derrick Rose just weeks from practicing It now looks like it was no coincidence that Adidas showed the final episode of Derrick Rose’s ‘‘The Return’’ ad campaign last week. According to an NBA source, while ‘‘The Return’’ to the court for NBA games is still up in the air for Rose, the all-everything point guard could be just weeks away from practicing with the Bulls again after surgery on his left anterior cruciate ligament last May. ‘‘That’s the belief that a couple of [the Bulls’] players are under,’’ the source said. Rose has been expected to be able to play in games by February, but that has been inferred more than actually stated. Even if the Bulls receive the ultimate Christmas present of getting him back on the practice court just before Dec. 25, it doesn’t mean he’s necessarily ahead of that February schedule — or behind it. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/colleges/16...-returning.html
  7. I like Rip too, but he definitely looked better when Rose and everyone else was healthy. And his defense is much worse than advertised. With Rose going out his role has kind of been lost, and as a result he looks worse on offense than he should. We shouldn't forget that the Bulls FO decided to bring Rip here with the idea that he would be good next to Rose. How pissed do you think Rip is? He came here to chase championships in his twilight years.
  8. It's funny going back to read that conversation now. Damn, J4L was a dick to me for basically no reason. J4L: lol. Outside of Taj, there's nobody on this roster with above average athleticism (not counting Rose right now). RZZZA:Marco Bellinili is a better athlete than Korver. Butler is a better athlete than Brewer. Nate Robinson is a better athlete than Lucas. The improvement is gradual but enough to make an impact on games. I mean, we have actual guys that can execute a fast break now! A while ago we had nobody except Rose who would be good on a break. J4L:I'm a better athlete than wite. That doesn't mean I'm athletic. And butler is NOT a better athlete than Brewer. Nate? You've got dunk contests from 2005 on the brain or something. RZZZA: Nate is an actual NBA PG with years of experience. Lucas is a D league scrub. Nate can penetrate the lane and have some hope of finishing. Lucas cannot. Nate can pass the ball. Lucas can not. Let me just win this one bro, Nate is a much better player (not just athlete) than Lucas. and hell yes Butler is a better athlete than Brewer. What can Brewer do that Butler can't? RZZZA: Butler is a real good athlete bro, not sure what you're seeing but... J4L: Maybe by college basketball standards. He's got good size. I'm not saying he's going to be a scrub. But he doesn't standout from an athletic standpoint. RZZZA: He can dunk, he can handle the ball a little and penetrate the lane and either lay it up or draw a foul. He can hit free throws at 80+%. He doesn't have a chicken wing arm that prevents him from ever being a consistent jump shooter. That's already better than Brewer. Defensively, he's not Ronnie Brewer but he's still very good. Stays with his man, challenges shots, doesn't foul much. Did a good job guarding Melo and Wade, wasn't lost or intimidated. Didn't make dumb mistakes. J4L: lol. Oh my goodness. What are you talking about? He can dunk? Wow. So can Carlos Boozer. Luc Longley could come out of retirement and you'll try to turn it into a potential positive. RZZZA: Dude, Boozer cannot run the floor, and penetrate the lane and dunk. Comparing Boozers athleticism to Jimmy's is downright horrible. KyYlE23:This word you keep saying, I do not think it means what you think it means RZZZA: It means players who can do things Carlos Boozer and Kurt Thomas can't. KyYlE23: Hell of a bar you set there J4L: Kurt Thomas? Oh my goodness. I'm not talking to you anymore. lol
  9. Dude, it was like months ago. How am I supposed to find those few posts now? Trust me when I say people laughed at me, just like you laugh at me for everything else I say here
  10. I don't hate rip, he is what he is. I just think the Bulls are not athletic or young enough to run with the best teams in the NBA. The decision to collect old vets to plug around Rose has backfired. Jimmy Butlers athleticism is insane, I like what I see from him. I remember people here laughed at me when I said Jimmy Butler is more athletic than Ronnie Brewer. We need young prospects, however we get them, I'm sick of seeing old broken down vets on this squad.
  11. Mike McGraw ‏@McGrawDHBulls First D-Rose sighting in a while today at Berto, running sprints in the back. Aggrey Sam Derrick sprinting in the back under supervision of training staff. Weird seeing him pop out every so often THE COUNTDOWN IS ON, PREPARE THY ANUS NBA
  12. lol, did you even look at my links? that same test was done and redone multiple times. Psychology 101, it's a class. Take it. Before you act like a smug asshole to me some more. self-image is a big problem in America. Its not bull s***, it's real.
  13. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenneth_and_Mamie_Clark The backlash to the prevailing white standard of beauty led to the "black is beautiful" movement.
  14. Why does it have to be so black and white (no pun intended) with you guys? I love Derrick Rose and Frank Thomas too, they're great rolemodels. I'm just saying there's nothing wrong with identifying with hero's based on skin color, or ethnicity, or any other facet that speaks to you. Yes I do like Paul Konerko slightly more because he's white. If only just slightly. I'm not saying I would hate him if he were black. I'm not saying I wouldn't be a fan of his. I'm saying my attitude towards him would be slightly different, thats all. Not better or worse, just different. I tell ya what, if Derrick Rose was a little white jew like me I'd love him that much more. Represent in the NBA for the little white jews
  15. What about the doll test then, eh? I can speak in general about what people need because these are well researched and well established phenomena. You think I'm making this stuff up?
  16. Not sure about specifically Mexicans but I know latino's in general have a handful of rising stars in the world of politics. With the ncreasing latino demographics these latino politicians are likely only to grow in importance and prominence in the coming decades
  17. I disagree, they NEED black hero's. Black people in the 40's and 50's used to watch TV and see only white people, and wondered why there were no people like them on there. It feeds into an inferiority complex and a white standard of beauty which has been scientifically researched (the doll experiment). When kids do not see positive rolemodels who look like them on TV and in the media they start wondering why. It still goes on to this day, it's hard for a black girl to feel beautiful when she looks on Tv and in magazines and sees nothing but lightskinned black girls with straightened hair. People definitely need hero's that look like them. Skin color and ethnicity matters, no matter how politically incorrect it is to say so.
  18. Oh please stop acting like skin color and ethnicity don't matter in the real world. I can't take this much political correctness here, people being so disingenuous. Be real. black little boys and girls also need black hero's on TV and in the media to admire. Don't tell me it doesn't matter what color or ethnicity the hero's are, it does matter.
  19. I guess you have a point, any owner who signs Michael Beasley absolutely is not bigoted against black people.
  20. How do you know for sure what the Wolves are doing? It is a big coincidence that they have so many white guys.
  21. so will I and neither do I. But at the same time there's NOTHING wrong with taking pride in a white guy or a jewish guy (I'm jewish) doing well in the world of sports. I might like that athlete a tiny bit more because they're kind of like me. That's not wrong, its perfectly normal.
  22. I'm a person. I understand why people need some hero's that look like them. It's not such a strange thing. Not that I'm excusing what the Wolves organization is doing.
  23. Hey there's something to that. People want to cheer for people who look more like them. It's why I consider Paul Konerko a modern day white mans working class hero. It WOULD be different if he were black....and young...er
