  3. QUOTE (SouthSidePride05 @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 08:05 PM) It's not about the marketing team. It's the Sox fans. This is embarrassing. Two first place teams, White Sox in first by 2 games and Yankees are the best in the AL, and we're in late August. Any other year in the past these games would be sold out or close to sold out. It's not the pricing, it's not the economy, it's Sox fans not showing up this season. I'm watching the YES telecast, and the broadcasters are talking about how startling all these empty seats are as they pan the camera around the empty stadium. I really don't think our fanbase deserves a postseason appearance this year. It's a shame. Really embarrassing and depressing. The Sox org. have no one to blame but themselves.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 08:03 PM) No it doesn't, it makes having a certain income group attending very important. Folks who drive but who also use the sox lots, rather than usin public transit or the other lots in the area. Prices that attract a lot of public transit users arent as profitable. Prices that attract families to drive out with their kids who pay for parking and drop another 100-200 on concessions sounds important to me.
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 08:02 PM) Who said they're not trying to make money? Not me. Im sure they are trying to make money.
  6. Liriano attempting to give that run right back
  7. Great. Angels slumping and they play Detroit next.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 07:57 PM) You guys really think you know their marketing strategy better than them? Yes
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 07:56 PM) lol he and Rizzo built the Nationals. What bulls***. Sounnds like collusion.
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 07:55 PM) It's really bad business. How does it look when your team can't fill up the stadium when big market teams come to town? The extra money they make probably isn't more than them filling up the stadium at slightly cheaper prices. Plus you get more concessions and parking revenue. Dumb move by the Sox brass.
  11. It wouldve been nice having Rios hitting 3
  12. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 07:37 PM) I can't see it, but sometimes I think I can back-peddle faster than he can run. i wouldnt call what he does, running. More like a light jog.
  13. PK isn't ancient. You guys are talking about him like he is Jamie Moyer or some s***. Give me a break.
  14. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Aug 21, 2012 -> 07:35 PM) PK lack of hustle is a issue that needs addressed. Yep. No one is that slow. He just doesnt dig on plays like that
  15. Letting him right off the hook.
