ABREU!!

Gotta love it! Despite it being a little embarrassing.
3 up, 3 down. 1 K, standing O... should we put him to the pen?

QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 02:28 PM)If you were an opposing GM, would you rather call KW or Hahn to get a deal done?
Depends if my team is buying or selling
-
I hope we can sign Shark for a decent price/length. Pitching can't get worse next year if we're doing this "3-year window" thing
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 10:21 PM)Worst offensive starter in baseball for those qualified. 33 RBI heading into August for the starting right fielder
Sigh
-
5 runs isn't THAT terrible. Pitching messed this one up.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 08:26 PM)Toronto's offense is incredible to watch
I'm quite jealous looking at their lineup

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 09:21 PM)How the heck else should we have acted last week? When the Sox are winning they look like pennant winners. Then they lose a game and can't ever stop it at one. Now we've dropped two in a row and nobody would be surprised to see it four after this weekend. Weird ass team that nobody can ever figure out.
It is quite difficult to not get overly excited in that situation. We thought they finally figured it out

Think I might have to find something less frustrating to watch
-
Nice Saladino!

Wish I had MLB.TV so i could watch any games I wanted to. Limited to Cubs and Sox. Not wanting to watch either atm
-
Since people are talking about age, I'm actually 17 going on 18. Nice to know there are other die-hard sox fans around my age that can speak on this site without showing any sign of young age. I've been pretty much obsessed with the Sox since 2004, so I was only 6/7 years old.

Everyone probably persisted on Anderson and or Montas/Johnson deal.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 03:34 PM)So what? They're 7.5 GB as opposed to 3.5.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 03:26 PM)Jesus, the Padres are nuts.

yankees were willing to put in jorge mateo and take back gyorko and eat a good part of it to get kimbrel. pads said no.
According to their GM, they have a good chance at the Postseason.

The Front Office's approach to the deadline this year was absolutely embarrassing.
-
QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 03:22 PM)Micah Johnson?
I'm sure he'll take us to the promise land next year. No other moves needed.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 03:18 PM)of course we're not obligated to...we could instead go into next year with a similar roster to the one we currently have, except probably without Samardzija and with a rookie in his place in the rotation.
Maybe their "3 year window" is actually a window for a .500 team
-
It's hard to sit here and say the Sox are fine with standing pat because it's an ignorant move in my opinion to not buy or sell. If you think you can make a run, IMPROVE THE TEAM. If you don't think you can make it, get value for your team! There is no excuse for this.
-
QUOTE (Buehrlesque @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 03:08 PM)It's not just about having the amo or making a move to make a move. The Sox knew how slim their playoff chances were this year and they weren't willing to give up any assets for a rental. It makes complete sense.
Then the part that doesn't make sense is not selling. At least Samardzija, c'mon.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 03:09 PM)@scottmerkin
White Sox officially are standing pat. This team has developed a sort of why not us mentality so it fits
Absolutely RIDICULOUS mentality

I'm mad. How can a team be confused about buying and selling and do nothing at the deadline?! What a joke FO.
