Good dude, but a dime a dozen guy this day and age.

Abreu + Sheets for Bird and Ellsbury?

Kind of reminds me of Chatwood last year. The heavy metrics teams loved him. I may be way off, but I could see him getting 4/48-60 million.

Seibu officially announced they’re posting Yusei Kikuchi. I want him really badly because I love NPB, but I honestly don’t know if its a smart buy. He’s had minor but recurring shoulder issues, and I think he’s realistically a mid-rotation guy over here.
That's someone I think the Sox should definitely check in on. Possibly a nice middle of the rotation lefty. Fangraphs comped him to Corbin. I have no idea what he will cost though.

Sox are going to end up finishing third in the division

In the 3 years prior to reaching free agency, Cain put up 12.6 fWAR. If Pollock doesn't get hurt again this year, he'll have put up something like 6.5. He still missed a month and a half of the season. Cain put up 4.3 fWAR with the Royals in 2017 the year before hitting FA, Pollock is on pace for something like 3-3.5. If they get the same contract, it's because the contract drought that happened last offseason has totally ended, because those are no where near comparable records.
Maybe Fowler would have been a better comp, but he also go 5/80.

I think Pollock gets somewhere in the ballpark of what Cain got. Have to think minimum 4/65.

I think Baz becomes the best player in this trade. I think the Pirates kind of viewed Meadows and Glasnow the same way the Nationals viewed Giolito.

Nice deal for both teams
Minnesota did well

Pretty underwhelming for the Mets. Hopefully, Hahn can do better l.

Good get for SD. Didn't think they would get someone as promising for Mejia.

Deal seems about right. One real prospect and a few lotto ticket types.

Somewhere between 10-15 org. Prospect. Someone like Booker or Burr for the Sox.
-
Always rooted for Rocky Biddle, just because of the name

No love for Henzman?

Maybe something in the ballpark of what they gave up for Cole?
-
I think Alvarez is probably the best they can get. Would love a Davis and Nova package, but that might be too steep for the stros

Can’t disagree with anything said there.
Anyone with an inkling of what kind of contract in terms of years and dollars that Pollock’s looking for?
And let’s just hope we can get that catcher or set-up guy internally.
Maybe something a little more than what Cain got? 5/90ish?

Still think ends up in the pen or back end starter. Still walking too many and has got real lucky this year stranding runners. I fear that once the regression fairies get done with Avi, they will visit Lopez. Hope I'm wrong though.

Spencer Adams is the first call up and becomes a younger Miguel Gonazalez and sticks as the no.5 all year.
-
Still.would like to see the Sox take Madrigal. I don't see Burger being the answer at third, so maybe the Sox should think about moving Moncada to 3rd.
-
Can't see Ellsbury waiving his no trade clause.

Seems a little light, but coming off of two disappointing seasons, the Pirates were selling low anyway. The Pirates may still get two mid rotation starters and a average third baseman out of it.
Winter Meetings Predictions

I feel like these meetings are going to go like the time my wife went to Best Buy with 900 dollars to get a tv. She came home with two blue ray DVD players, an ipod, and the boxed set of Will and Grace and King of Queens instead.
