Why would anyone listen to Holmes about anything?
I don't think they do. His "through the roof" downloads are probably less than sox attendance at an afternoon game in April. Still, he isn't wrong in this instance

I would not, actually. Not even sure what is considered a "normal" personality vs "not normal."
Regardless, part of Brooks' job is to manage different personalities and egos. If he needs it to be a very specific type of personality, maybe he just sucks at that part of his job?
He didn't leave because of Brooks. He left for more money and greater flexibility. All things being equal, he would have stayed.
It's rare to have a perfect relationship with a boss. If what is reported was the biggest complaint, that is a good working relationship

That's a hatchet job by von showen. The two facts are unrelated and he has to know how it will be read by putting them next to each other.
The biggest of Bennetti supporters would admit he has an unusual (not normal) personality.
The truth of the story is right there very early. He left for more money and greater flexibility than the sox offered. That truth just wasn't sufficiently sensational.

Vaughn looks like the kind of person you see after your car breaks down on a lonely country road in the middle of the night.

That is a very special group and great honor for Robert. Now its time for him to focus on 40-40. After last night's game he is on target for 40-40 of doubles and home runs. Now if Robert gets in that rare club and it's only Frank Thomas and Albert Belle of Sox players, as well as only 36 other players in baseball history.
hopefully add 20 SB this year as well

Yeah, force him to get surgery on that back and hope he comes to ST in 2024 ready to earn his next paycheck. That's all you can do.
Moncada seems like the kind of guy who will get himself into the best playing shape for his possible contract year...or maybe he'll be satisfied with his money and eat Twinkies all off season

Anderson is just a lost soul right now. I think he needs is some time away from everything. I also don't think his skills fell off a cliff at age 30.
Go to Aaron Rogers' sensory depravation house and consult with the elders.

Didn't notice at first but Quero continues the pipeline to cuba

The Tatis trade alone would have been enough for him to be fired by some organizations

thinking about it a little more, weren't we promised during the last rebuild that the money saved during those times would be banked to sign players like Lucas when he became expensive?

They aren’t calling it a rebuild but it is. Jerry doesn’t care. Why would he? He has his money. Shed some payroll
If he really cared about winning, he would have foregone his typical budgetary discipline and spent wildly this off season while he had an open window.
People can call if whatever they want, this doesn't look like a team poised to compete next year.

Jerry isn’t signing off on another rebuild man. They’re going to hope guys can bounce back and sign a few others to 1-2 year deals and “go for it.”
I don't wish it on him but at 87 you cannot make long term plans.

I feel like a chump for liking this team since Reinsdorf began his ownership. I was just a child but even back then it didn't sit well with me when they lost Harry. 42 years later and I'm still stuck liking the team but hating the organization

This is simply not true. It was reported that Giolito wanted long term and everything fell apart when they had to go to arbitration over a difference of 50k
He would have signed if the Sox had made an offer he couldn't refuse. His mantra every year was that he knew his market value, which didn't change even after a down year.
I don't expect it to happen, but......
