Here are our 3B options: Jake Burger, Yermin Mercedes. I guess the team could get creative and get Laz Rivera and Yolbert Sanchez up to Schaumburg, but, let's be real here.
Mendick is coming back to earth and is best used situationally. Yolmer is a good defender. We may all be squirmin' for Yermin to be sent down while we watch him butcher a slow roller down the line at 3B (which isn't fair to him, since he's not a 3B). Burger is coming back from tearing his fucking achilles twice.
The team knows Yolmer, he's a good defender. Yoan needs rest in the worst way. Unless someone on this board that's complaining about Yolmer playing at third is going to magically summon 2006 Joe Crede, I'd like to know what magical 3B depth we're going to get that is acceptable.

How could we possibly put Yolmer on the roster much less in the starting lineup. He couldn't even make the SF 60 man
unit, now hes in the starting lineup. We had Delmonico in the Cleanup spot for 4 games earlier in the season. Its a slap in the face to Mendick, Cut ties with these sentimental bums! How could he not make the Giants top 60 and be our starting SS! If this goes on for another day... Sox fans should revolt,

You cant use the Wheeler/ Gio comp because we signed Keichel , when we failed on Wheeler.Gio was a late addition.

Signing EE next year will not and should not happen. He will just clog up the system. Vaughn will be ready soon. We have an abundance of DHs . Eloy, Collins, Mercedes, Abreu & Grandahl can rotate easily as DHers

I thought I read that the Sox new TV deal paid $750k per game which when multiplied by 162 equates to approximately
120 million which in itself covers payroll. This does not include national tv money, concession revenue, parking, and many other revenue streams.

I would pay 100 mill right now even if we only secured an extra year. 5 yrs/100 mill. That what Houston gave Bergman.

I'd rather do a one year rental for several reasons.
1) Calhoun, Peterson & Dickerson can prolly all be had on a one year commitment and hit from the left side.
2) one of our kids in the minor may still pan out. (Basabe, Adolfo, Walker, Rutherford or Gonzalez.) Keep in mind we only need to hit on one of them.
3) Castellonos & Ozuna are big dollars and not good defensive players!
4) we have enough DH/ 1B statue guys as it is.
5) if the first 2 solutions don't work, next yearsOF class is much more exciting George Springer, Micheal Brantley & Mookie Betts.
we should have just paid Brantley 3 yrs/45 mill last year instead of Farting around with Machado and his cousins!

I think Wheeler is the main target but I'm Leary of 5yr/100 mil......how about 4 yrs 88 mill with a player opt out after 3 years???
