What about kenny rogers? I know that he made 7.5 million last year, but what if we can get him at say 3 or 4 mil. He was 13-8 and a 3.84 era for texas. He has pitched over 200 innings 5 times in his career and he was 19-3 in oakland before he went to texas. maybe a change of scenery will do him some good. If we got our offense overpowering teams like we expect, I think KR could get some more wins and improve with us. He might not be a great pitcher like maddux or clemens but he might be able to get the job done.

But..... on the downside of this we tried the whole change of scenery and our offense will get more wins for Ritchie thing last year, so do we really want to try this again? Maybe; if we can get him at a steal. heck we all know Kenny isn't going to make any blockbuster deal to land someone like Clemens or Colon. Why not give it a try.

That might be our best choice for the choice we have in reality. No one will pay Rogers what he got last year. So Jerry will wait till he's desperate and signs for 2 mill . :(

I am not too big of a Rogers fan. I'd rather have someone like Daal.

Rogers doesn't really have too good of stuff and a lot of the time it looks like he lucks through things. Still he would be better then nothing.
