Scwible
Anyone else hear about this steroid problem that has a risen? I heard it on the radio that the Balco(i thinks thats the name) company was selling a steroid that was disguised to pass drug tests. One of Barry Bonds' trainers had their house raided which would leave me to beleive that Mr. Home Run Bonds was on this, as well as other athletes, namely track athletes. Anyone else heard about this? Thoghts?
Loaiza21
I wonder if Frank Thomas was on it
Scwible
Found an article about it on MSNBC. This should prove to be pretty interesting as the days go on i thinks. http://www.msnbc.com/news/981352.asp?0dm=C17TS
southsider2k5
The big part of this is dealing with the track and field athletes, using undetectable steroids. Yeah, this could get really interesting if it starts involving pro athletes in sports where roids are banned.
Yossarian
Back in the bad old days of the "Evil Empire" the East Germans had supposedly become experts at making and administering designer drugs to their Olympic athletes. Drugs that could not be detected by traditional tests. I imagine this process has been improved upon since the time Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson was busted. I truly believe that a number of baseball players are juicing up, although I think the numbers are lower than Jose Canseco claims. Maybe not because if anybody should know it would be him. Anyway I think McGwire, Bonds and Sosa are all guilty. Sosa is a poster boy. These guys should know the dangers. Didn't they ever hear of Footballers Steve Courson or Lyle Alzado? Perhaps they are being told that the modern drugs don't have the same side affects. There are a lot of teen age and early 20's posters on this board. I'm sure at least some of them are athletes or at least know athletes in their high schools and colleges. This stuff is not good for you.
